Center-of-mass (CM) corrections of the MIT bag model are performed. The expectation value of the squared CM momentum is found to be divergent. The CM kinetic energy is seperated out by defining a total invariant mass of the quark system. The refitted mass spectra for light hadrons are not very much different from that of the original MIT bag model except that there are no solutions for (pi) and K. On the other hand, the CM corrected magnetic moments still do not agree with the experimental values. This may indicate some inadequacy of the MIT bag model.
