In this Paper, We Empirically Investigated what kind of Risks Exist that Drive high Failure rate of cloud Services, and whether Perception of such risks leads to the Adoption of the Abandonment Option of cloud Services. Such risk Perception is the Individual-level Factor, and we Empirically Tested whether Organizational Contexts such as CEO`s Innovativeness and Dandwagon Effect can Moderate the Positive Effects of such Individual-level Risk Perception on the Adoption of Abandonment option. We Collected Survey data from IT Professionals Working for the Small and Medium-sized Companies near Seoul and found that the Perceived Technical Risk and Economic Risk Influence the Adoption of Abandonment Option. Out of two Organizational Contexts, only CEO`s Innovativeness Moderates the Positive Influence of Technical Risk on the Adoption of Abandonment Option. Organizational Factors Demonstrated very Limited Moderation Effect on the Influence of Individual-level Perception of Cloud Service Risk on the Adoption of Abandonment Option.

We investigate how electronic word-of-mouth through different types of social media impacts of box office revenue across different phases of movie screening based on Roger's innovation diffusion model. We collected daily electronic word-of-mouth for movies from February to October 2012 from Twitter, Yahoo!Movies, YouTube, and blogs. The results indicate that Twitter influences on box office revenue were greater in the initial stage of a movie's opening, because of its high immediacy and diffusion characteristics. Yahoo!Movies was more influential in the late stage of a movie's opening because of high persuasion characteristics. Since blogs and YouTube contain characteristics of mass media and interpersonal communication media, we found that there were no differences for the impacts of blogs and YouTube on box office revenue between the initial and later stages.

SMBA (Small and Medium Business Administration) and TIPA (Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs) have operated the Business Innovation Platform for SME Informatization based on cloud computing technology with the cooperation of seven industry cooperatives since 2013. This project will evolve into the open market platform where service providers and users voluntarily participate and transact. This research conducts the literature review about the concept of open market and the empirical analysis through survey for the software providers and the future users regarding the future operation methods. The policy about how the open market strategy for the business innovation platform needs to be designed and implemented are organized as the three differentiated government support strategies. The first is to provide free IT services including specialized core operation support S/W which is developed only for the small or home office group of firms which lack minimal informatization capability and budget. The second is to augment IT platform service through incorporating ERP supplier initiated commercial S/W sales window for those firms having medium level informatization capability. This includes to provide IT support for customization and system integration with existing government subsidized S/W. The third is to provide upgrading services of existing S/W functions to facilitate better system utilization. The results provide useful insight for government role to enhance SME competitiveness using IT.

Cloud computing and related services, in combination with mobile computing, are becoming a major building block of new IT convergence. Therefore, cloud interoperability based service evaluation certification demands precise and professional requirements. This study presents the quality, interoperability, and security as three key areas of overall cloud services. It also presents a proposal to evaluate the quality and interoperability through an existing cloud service certification system considering practical convenience and reality in establishing the certification system.

In this paper, we proposed the necessary government policies for the SME`s informatization as the computing environment evolves towards cloud computing. We started with the review of the current SME`s computing environment and limitations of current policies, and then addressed the new roles, visions, and missions of the government for the SME informatization. Based upon these arguments, we proposed the mid-term vision and designed the architecture for the cloud computing-based services for SMEs. The major contribution of this paper is to extend the enterprise-based informatization strategies to the context of the government policies so that the government can adopt our arguments as guidelines for the future policies.

Self-service technologies (SSTs) are becoming popular in mobile devices. Therefore, we examine the availability of mobile services with regard to wire-line device and user trust in these services as the moderating variables in order to determine the relative importance of the perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEU) for users adopting new SSTs on mobile devices. We collected data from two distinctive mobile services: mobile banking and location-based ("finding my friend") services in Korea. The findings of this study reveal that when new services are available with existing wire-line services, PEU is more important than PU in driving the adoption of new SSTs. In contrast, when mobile services are relatively brand new, PU is more important than PEU in the adoption of new SSTs. Further, trust in services does not significantly change the relative importance of PEU for users adopting mobile services that are available in wire-line devices, whereas user trust in services strengthens the influence of PU in their adoption of mobile services that are not available in wire-line devices. These findings can help explain the causal structure whereby SSTs are adopted on mobile devices. We also provide managerial guidance in order to promote the adoption as well as the use of SSTs.

... The influence of WOM communication on consumer perceptions and decisions has been extensively studied. Existing literature identifies several key features of WOM, including (i) a positive relationship between product sales and both the quantity and sentiment of reviews (Baek et al. 2017;Chintagunta et al. 2010;Cui et al. 2012;Dellarocas et al. 2007;Moon et al. 2010), and (ii) a negativity bias, where negative comments have a larger impact on consumer perceptions and purchase decisions than positive ones (Hennig-Thurau et al. 2015;Moldovan and Goldenberg 2004;Rui et al. 2013;Sundaram et al. 1998;Wu et al. 2021). Building on these features, Bahadir and Pauwels (2023) further identify three marketing mix elements-advertising awareness, expensiveness, and perceived product benefits-as crucial drivers of positive WOM, with brand performance stability strengthening this relationship. ...

While different definitions of cloud computing exist, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) definition of cloud computing is becoming the most globally agreed definition [19] - [21]. According to NIST cloud computing is "a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction" [22]. ...

CCIF (Cloud Computing Interoperability Forum), as initiated by ITU-T (International Telecommunication Union's Telecommunication Standardization Sector), aims to create a unified cloud interface (UCI) and develops an open and standardized cloud interface for the integration of APIs (Lee, Park, & Yang, 2013).
