Recent studies show that bilateral temporoparietal hypoperfusion (with or without additional defects) characterises approximately 50–65% of DAT patients (Holman et al. 1992, Horn et al. 1995). Thus, the sensitivity of this hypoperfusion pattern seems low, but the specificity seems high, if Parkinson's disease with dementia can be excluded. ...
