... All of these schemes are characterised by their own peculiar advantages and drawbacks, making them more or less suitable for the simulation of specific flows. Along these lines, the Discontinuous Galerkin method, which will be extensively employed in this work, was found particularly suitable for the simulation of advected-dominated compressible flows [8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22].
