... Overall, BIPs have demonstrated low success rates in preventing IPV (Wilson et al., 2021). A 2024 meta-analysis that examined the efficacy of BIPs (such as the Duluth Model; Pence & Paymar, 1993) suggested that efficacy of these programs is negligible, has not improved in the last 20 years, and highlighted the need for examining interventions that approach participants in a non-confrontational manner (Babcock et al., 2024).
