Nonetheless, in species-rich floodplain areas, it remains challenging to obtain high-accurate classification models, even using hyperspectral imagery (Richter et al., 2016), mainly due to the mixture of vegetation and other types of land covers , but also due to the variations in atmospheric and light conditions.
