Evans [15], one of the originators of dual-system theory, has stated that an important issue for future research is the problem that "current theories are framed in general terms and are yet to be developed in terms of their specific computational architecture." Following Dennett [16], we argue that a computational description is essential for clarifying highlevel, psychological characterizations, such as System-1 and System-2.
