... Statistics of the isotopic ratios and εNd for the ensemble of glasses taken into account (dotted rectangle in Fig. 23 left) and for the subset of glasses dated from 6th century BCE to 1st century BCE (full rectangle in Fig. 23 (Ignatiadou, 2016). Although we will not enter into this debate, we are aware that the subject should be extensively reviewed in order to be able to delimit the areas of production. ...

... For the whole list of samples analysed by LA-ICP-MS, Eu is correlated with Al 2 O 3 , supporting the hypothesis that its content is related to feldspars (Gao and Wedepohl, 1995;Götze, 1998;McLennan et al., 1993;Weill and Drake, 1973). Fig. 5a shows the similarity of the high-Ba group REE profiles with other published datasets: from Chotin (Slovakia) (Conte et al., 2018), Vinha das Caliças (Portugal) (Costa et al., 2021) and Pieria (Greece) (Blomme et al., 2017). It should be emphasised that Chotin glass has been attributed to potash-lime-silica glass, and therefore has a peculiar composition that distinguishes it from high-Ba glasses in terms of K 2 O, CaO and other element contents (Conte et al., 2018). ...

... Other potential facilities for glass production from the 6th to the 9th century AD were found at Apollonia (Tal, et al., 2004), at Bet Eli"ezer (Gorin-Rosen & Hadera, 1995;Gorin-Rosen, 2000;Freestone, et al., 2000) and at Bet She"arim (Brill, 1967;Freestone, 2005;Gorin-Rosen, 1999). In Greek area, the main natron source that has been known and proven in international literature since 2003, is Lake Pikrolimni in Macedonia (Dotsika et al., (b), 2008(Dotsika et al., (b), 2009(Dotsika et al., , 2014(Dotsika et al., , 2015(Dotsika et al., , 2018Ignatiadou et al., 2003). ...
