This paper investigates comparatively the extent to whichGreek and Swiss newspaper firms have established a learning-oriented corporate culture and enacted human resource development policies facilitating lifelong both individual and organizational learning and advancement. The results suggest that although Swiss newspaper firms are closer to their transformation into learning organizations than Greek ones, both industries display organizational learning inhibiting deficiencies that need to be handled by newspaper managers.

Im Hinblick auf die Medienmanagementforschung konnten mithilfe einer systematischen Literaturanalyse im Zeitraum 2010 bis 2021 im Journal of Media Business und Journal of Media Management N=106 Paper zu dem Suchstring "(organi(z/s)ation* AND learn*) OR (manage* + learn*) OR (compan* + learn*)" gefunden werden. Bei genauerer Durchsicht war allerdings festzustellen, dass OL selten der Hauptforschungsgegenstand der Arbeiten war, sondern meist lediglich ein Teilaspekt z.B. von Innovation (Cestino & Matthews, 2016;Klaß, 2020), neuen Prozessen und Routinen (Maijanen & Jantunen, 2014;Wikström, 2014), Dynamic Capabilites (Oliver, 2018;Maijanen & Virta, 2017), Strategie im technologischen Wandel (Kosterich, 2020), Kreativität (Malmelin & Virta, 2017), Adoptionsprozessen (Zabel & Telkmann, 2020) (Dekoulou et al.,2010).
