Pelatihan M-Ship yang dilakukan di Universitas Selamat Sri menjadi bagian dalam menghadapi pembangunan KITB yang tengah berlangsung. Terlebih dalam realitas fakta dan data menunjukkan bahwa kondisi SDM di Batang masih cukup lemah. Oleh karenannya pelatihan ini sangat dibutuhkan untuk menyiapkan sekaligus mendapatkan lulusan dari Perguruan Tinggi di Batang yang siap berkompetisi. Metode pelatihan ini menggunakan praktik-implementatif, di mana kurang lebih dua bulan para peserta dilatih dan diberikan materi. Peserta ditentukan dengan cara seleksi dengan pertimbangan potensi dan minat di bidang enterpreneur. Setelah terpilih, mereka kemudian dibagi dalam enam kelompok, dan masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari dua orang. Mereka setiap kelompok memiliki peran dan tugas masing-masing dalam menawarkan produknya. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pelatihan ini teruji di mana mendapat respon positif dari berbagai kalangan, mulai dari pengunjung, tim penilai, bahkan pihak jurnalis dari Pemerintah Daerah setempat yang melakukan peliputan. Selain itu, dengan banyaknya produk yang terjuan dalam beberapa jam jugaa telah mengonfirmasi kepiawaian para peserta baik secara kemampuan berwiraausaha dan juga skill yang meningkat. Namun demikian, walaupun peserta terbatas, antusias pengunjung tetaplah tinggi.

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly impacted various sectors, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, the lack of knowledge and skills in accessing and utilizing digital technology has made MSME entrepreneurs in Kedungsegog Village struggle to compete in an increasingly competitive market. As a result, they often miss opportunities to optimize sales and grow their businesses. Therefore, this community service activity aims to enhance MSME entrepreneurs' understanding of digital technology utilization in marketing strategies and business operations. The activity was conducted through direct (offline) socialization, including material presentations and interactive discussions. The results show an increased understanding among MSME entrepreneurs regarding the importance of digital technology in supporting their businesses, particularly in marketing, operational efficiency, and information access. Additionally, MSME entrepreneurs have shown motivation to optimize customer service and expand their market reach to the regional level. To ensure the sustainability of this initiative’s impact, follow-up mentoring programs are needed so that the adoption of digital technology can be consistently and optimally implemented in their business management.

The purpose of this article is to explain the importance of communication literacy and political education, especially for Gen Z. Especially in the conditions of the political year, communication literacy and political education are guidelines for Gen Z so that they can respond more rationally to their political year. This is important because many Gen Z people are not politically literate, so sometimes political frenzy can expose them to criminal charges. For this reason, communication literacy and political education are important to equip them so they can continue to exist in the political year. This service method uses an active participation approach where this program involves students at SMKN 1 Blado. In its implementation, service members carry out initial observations, location determination, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up of the service program. The results of the service program show that students are very enthusiastic and interested in the political education material presented. They feel that they are still very unfamiliar with politics, so this service program is a source of knowledge for them. Moreover, Gen Z needs literacy. Apart from that, they were also very active in discussing questions and answers, especially how Gen Z behaves politically and rationally in determining their political choices to produce optimal impacts for them.

The purpose of this article is to explain the results of community service carried out by the service team at Diponegoro Banyuputih Vocational School, Batang Regency. This service is carried out by training content creators for vocational school students, especially in facing industry 5.0 competition. As we all know, Batang Regency since 2020 has been designated by President Joko Widodo as a strategic area for national industrial development. Therefore, in developing this industrial area, local communities are required to prepare and adapt in the face of rapid industrial competition. Moreover, currently Batang is an area that is officially designated as the Batang Integrated Industrial Area. This service uses a participatory training approach at Vocational School Diponegoro Banyuputih. The results show that in implementing the service, Diponegoro Vocational School students were very enthusiastic and enthusiastic about participating in content creator training. Lots of questions and answers were created so that students had more and more insight into the world of industry.

This article aims to show the public expenditure of the Kulon Progo Regional Government responds to welfare issues with a pro-poor budget approach. Currently, Kulon Progo Regency is still the area with the highest poverty rate among regencies/cities in D.I.Yogyakarta. This condition becomes ironic because this area is under the Regional Government, which has the status of receiving special autonomy. This arrangement impacts the disbursement of special funds to Kulon Progo so that its fiscal capacity becomes large. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with the library research method. While the stages of this research consisted of problem identification, literature search, research aims and objectives, data collection, data analysis and interpretation, and research reporting. The study results show that Kulon Progo's public expenditure has not been able to bring this region out of the issue of inequality. The issue of poverty, the low human development index, the high open unemployment rate, and even the low allocation of public expenditure on infrastructure impacts the predicate and image of Kulon Progo, which has not been separated from this issue. In addition, in the aspect of public expenditure, especially based on budget allocations that are pro-poor, in fact, they have not fully accommodated their interests. This can be seen from the data analysis on the issue of inequality in the Kulon Progo Regency, which has not been properly resolved. This reality in the context of Kulon Progo is interesting to study because, with a large enough fiscal power capacity, it has not been reflected in public expenditure oriented towards the people’s welfare.

Papua’s Special Autonomy has been running for two decades with a budget disbursement of approximately 101.2 trillion rupiah. In line with that, this study aims to analyze the problems that occurred in Papua during the implementation of special autonomy. This research is qualitative research using data from books, journals, and media reports. This research adopts Bardhan and Mookherjee’s theory about the condition of fiscal decentralization which generates welfare. The research results substantially consist of two main things. First, from the point of view of local democracy, previously the special autonomy policy in Papua had not fully involved local (customary) figures in managing the special autonomy fund. Second, special autonomy in Papua has made budget items increase, both from central to regional transfer funds or other balancing funds. However, this fiscal authority is not accompanied by good capacity building for the organizers of the special autonomy for Papua. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of special autonomy for Papua over the last two decades has not been able to function local democracy and produce reliable fiscal authorities so that the road to prosperity is still long.

Lemahnya kualitas sumber daya manusia di Kabupaten Batang masih menjadi focus yang harus segera diselesaikan. Tercatat di tahun 2022 saja IPM di Batang belum mampu mencapai skor 70. Rendahnya IPM di Kabupaten Batang ini secara signifikan dipicu oleh tingkat pendidikan masyarakatnya yang juga relative rendah. Pendidikan tinggi masih dianggap oleh masyarakat bukan sebagai prioritas, namun sebagai kebutuhan opsional. Padahal tahun 2020 Preside Joko Widodo telah menyatakan bahwa Batang akan memiliki proyek industry strategis yang dikenal dengan Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB). Kehadiran KITB ini tentu tidak hanya dibanjiri oleh korprasi nasional saja, namun juga korporasi internasional. Oleh karena itu adanya KITB ini juga harus sejalan dengan peningkatan kualitas SDM di Batang sendiri agar masyarakat produkstif usia kerja mampu menempati pos-pos strategis dan tidak menjadi pennton semata. Oleh karena itu motivasi dan penguatan SDM perlu dilakukan salah satunya dengan mendorong masyarakat terpelajar untuk melanjutkan studi ke jenjang pendidikan tinggi. Metode penelitian ini yang digunakan ialah FGD dan sosialisasi yang dilakukan di SMK NU Bandar. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa para siswa SMK ini sebetulnya memiliki minat untuk mengenyam pendidikan tinggi. Hanya saja mereka belum memiliki system yang suppot dan mengarahkannya sehingga mereka bimbang setelah luls jalan pilihan satu satunya ialah bekerja. Pengabdian ini menjadi sangat dibutuhkan agar timbul kesadaran untuk mengenyam pendidikan tinggi bagi mereka dalam menghadapi KITB.

The development of science and technology, such as social media, has shown extraordinary progress, especially in the economic sector. This is supported by the development of communication technology in selling products, which initially carried out manual marketing through door to door, shifting to the digital marketing era. Digital Marketing as a marketing strategy that is carried out through several digital media such as blogs, websites, Adwords, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. The method used in this community service uses a participatory real approach in the form of outreach and assistance, in this activity it is carried out through two stages, namely preparation and socialization. The results of this study in general, MSME actors in Simpar Village do not understand scientifically in conducting marketing either via the internet. The use of social media in the utilization of internet marketing is still minimal so that community empowerment activities in digital marketing are urgently needed. This of course raises awareness that the importance of a strategy in marketing such as expanding reach in improving the character, image, impression of a product itself.

Poverty is a problem that continues to hit an area that is always sustainable. It seems that the various policies and programs that have been launched by the Central Government have not been sufficiently optimal and have no significance in creating the welfare of its citizens. Therefore, under these conditions, poverty becomes a very complex problem. It is on the basis of this complexity that the government cannot complete the work itself, so cooperation and collaboration between various parties becomes important. Simpar Village, Bandar Subdistrict, Batang Regency is one of the villages based on data from the Batang Regency Government Planning, Research and Development Agency as a village with poor status. Therefore, seeing this situation, the researchers carried out community service by counseling about poverty alleviation strategies with the modality of community strength itself. Through this counseling, the people of Simpar Village will be increasingly aware of how strong the power of local communities can reduce poverty levels in an area. This service method uses a participatory counseling approach that invites related village officials, community leaders, Village Community Institutions, and also members of the village community. The technique is through opening, filling in the material, forming a Forum Group Discussion, and asking questions in accordance with the presentation of the material. The results showed that the people of Simpar Village had a participative attitude in counseling activities, where discussions and questions and answers went well. It is hoped that with this counseling all components of the Simpar Village community will understand and apply how to overcome poverty they face with the strength of the community itself based on this understanding.
