The main aim of CSWs has been to identify the social determinants of health and support improved literacy and decision-making of vulnerable groups like women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities (Jefferys, 1965;Walt et al., 1989;Hesselink et al., 2009;Baum et al., 1997;Wadsworth, 1982;Mitchell & Shortell 2000;Banks, 2020).
