Abstract Scientific processes are being automated via workflow technology in the bio- CAPE (Bioinformatics Collaboration Analysis Pipeline Environment) project. This aims to address eciency, issues, improve access to bioinformation anal- ysis tools, and form a framework for bioinformation data quality improve- ment. This project was focused on this last point, particularly re-execution of processes for validation, the logging and application management required and points on implementation.
