The JASON Project uses telecommunication technologies to link scientists at research sites with teachers and students in the classroom. Planned expeditions, such as JASON X to the Peruvian Amazon, engage students in solving scientific problems by using the tools, skills, and vocabulary of science. Both teachers and students learn methods and techniques and interact via the Internet with scientists, participating in research as it is being done.
