En este artículo se ofrece una introducción breve sobre la pandemia de Covid-19 y su impacto en niñas, niños y adolescentes. Se plantea que la infancia ha quedado relegada e invisibilizada en las acciones que han tomado los gobiernos para contrarrestar los contagios y se analiza lo que ha acontecido con la institución educativa, el juego y los espacios públicos desde una perspectiva de derechos. Se mencionan los resultados de diversos estudios que se han llevado a cabo en México y se finaliza con algunas recomendaciones para restaurar el lugar de niñas y niños en nuestra sociedad.

This essay provides a brief introduction to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on children and adolescents in Mexico. It argues that children have been left behind and made invisible in the actions taken by governments to counteract the contagion. This article also analyzes what has happened as a result of changes regarding confinement, play, the use of streets and public spaces and educational institutions – from a children´s rights perspective. The results of several studies that have been carried out in our country are mentioned, ending with some recommendations regarding recognition of the important place children hold in our society.
