Person-centred care has been implemented in various healthcare settings (Ebrahimi et al., 2021), but prior to the development of the aforementioned intervention, there was no intervention focusing on person-centred communication in home care. The theoretical foundation of the ACTION program was grounded in Carl Rogers's (1989Rogers's ( /1995 theory of person-centredness, which describes a caring approach that includes acceptance, caring, empathy and sensitivity in human interactions.
