Ce genre a été publié par YANG & KORF (1985) pour séparer du genre Tricharina Eckblad un groupe d'espèces présentant un type de poils différent, des cellules excipulaires à paroi épaissie et un stade anamorphe de type Compressipes (au lieu de type Ascorhizoctonia chez Tricharina). Cette ségrégation a été confirmée par les données moléculaires (TEDERSOO et al., 2006 ;PERRY et al., 2007 ;VAN VOOREN et al., 2017). ...
