Delcam International has developed a unique software program by which to create three-dimensional reliefs from two-dimensional patterns: ArtCAM. It is a CAD/CAM system which is able to automatically produce 3-D reliefs for all design stages involving ceramic products and the manufacturing of moulds for their production. ArtCam was first developed for the production of decorative containers/vessels for packaging, e.g. those used in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry. Since then, a wide range of application has been opened up, including the decoration of ceramic giftware and tableware.

A new software package for creating three-dimensional reliefs from two-dimensional artwork has been launched. The package is the first CAD-CAM system able to generate automatically 3D reliefs for all stages of the design of plastics products and the manufacture of moulds for their production. The program was developed for the production of decorated packaging containers, for example those used for cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. It may also be used when placing 3D logos or other designs on plastics products.
