Human Resource Management (HRM) is a critical area for organizational development and has evolved with strategies oriented toward sustainability principles. The increase in environmental awareness, regulatory and political pressures, stakeholder expectations, changes in the labor market, and globalization challenges—such as the United Nations Global Compact which led to the development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—are factors contributing to the growth of scientific studies and organizational adoption of Sustainable Human Resource Management (SHRM). Given that the literature on SHRM is fragmented, diverse, and presents difficulties regarding consensus, the objective of this study is to identify and clarify the inconsistencies concerning the differences and interdependencies among the various approaches to HRM oriented toward sustainability. To achieve this objective, the study employed a systematic literature review in international databases (Scopus and Web of Science). Based on the theoretical foundation, the study identified trends in SHRM, the conceptual framework, the different aspects of associated terminologies, and a comparative analysis of HRM models. As a result, a theoretical framework of recommendations was developed to guide SHRM in contributing to the achievement of the SDGs. Given the lack of consensus on SHRM, further research, particularly empirical studies, is necessary to consolidate terms, concepts, and the feasibility of SHRM practices. Additionally, SHRM models could be developed to support governments, businesses, institutions, and organizations, thereby meeting the sustainability demands of society, science, and organizations. The world of football is followed by billions of people around the world. The financial stake of this sport goes far beyond the understanding of many fans. Many criticisms occurred in the last few years due to some tremendous salaries given to the football players. To understand this up-to-date subject, this paper will investigate what are the determinants of these high wages. We found that the wages are mainly affected by the income of the clubs but also the position on the pitch, the image a player brings, his age, and the grade he receives (which includes goals, assists etc).

Sole proprietors represent one of the major factors in Croatia's economic development and the performance of proprietorship activities in the Republic of Croatia is regulated by the Sole Proprietorship Act. Unlike starting a company, the legal requirements for starting a sole proprietorship are somewhat simple, which makes this one of the entrepreneurs' key motivators to dive into the world of entrepreneurship by opening a sole proprietorship. Although they are small entrepreneurs, proprietors are the bearers of a large part of the national economy due to their production of goods and services, as well as providing employment opportunities for other persons in the labor market. Given the lower level of bureaucratization in business, they are far more adaptable and ready to respond quickly when faced with the numerous challenges of the modern market. The credibility of this statement is reflected in the current COVID-19 crisis, during which the cease of business has caused major market disruptions, such as the inability to get products shipped from distant suppliers as well as the termination of working positions in large scale systems, which has led entrepreneurs towards adapting their businesses in order to provide the necessary goods and services in their local market. The business adjustment consisted of changing product ranges and distribution services, which they have imaginatively and skillfully adapted to the newly developed situation. Given the aforementioned, it is clear that sole proprietors are an important factor in the national economy and as such should be met with approval. Therefore, I believe it is necessary to reduce pressure of national regulations and make it easier for them to do business.

As a result of the rapid expansion of internationalisation, the number of students enrolled in foreign higher education programmes has soared worldwide in the past few decades. In addition to the academic benefits, one of the aims of student mobility is to increase students’ intercultural awareness to better equip them for the increasingly multicultural world they enter after graduation. The purpose of this paper is to present the findings of an exploratory case study with one Jordanian and two Norwegian students studying medicine at a transcultural university in Hungary. The data were collected via semistructured interviews with the participants. The interviews elicited various aspects of the participants’ study abroad experience. The present paper focuses on the participants’ social networking during their time spent at the Medical School, UP, Hungary.

Comparative Analysis of Relation Between Entrepreneurs and the State: Case of Development of Nautical Tourism in Germany and Croatia

Given the market aspect, Europe has five developed nautical tourism markets, of which the Mediterranean in many ways holds important position. Croatia is trying to find its place in the European map of nautical tourism and join Italy, France and Spain which form a group of key nautical destinations in this part of Europe. Given that nautical tourism is functionally connected with the use of state resources, sea and water, which have the status of a public good, its development is conditioned by the relationship with the state. This relationship is conditioned by the concept, the system, which the state develops, which represents the promotion of its short- term and long-term goals, but also the ability of politics to support the development of nautical tourism at the national level. In order to valorize this relationship between the state and the entrepreneur, the paper presents a study of the system developed in Germany, which relates to marinas in the Baltic. This system is a compilation of Germany's traditional system, known as the "social market economy", and a sophisticated system that supports investment, the development of nautical tourism as well as destinations. This paper offers comparative analyses of the operation of this system on the basis of a case study of marina in the Baltic, and on the other hand, marina in Croatia. In this way, the quality of the Croatian system and the German system will be analyzed, and the success of these two significantly different systems will be evaluated. The aim of the research is to show the factors of the system of Croatia and Germany, as well as the ability of the state to develop national entrepreneurship through the system, in this case nautical tourism.

Purpose Changes in structure and conceptual underpinnings of ISO 9001 mean that quality management system (QMS) auditors require a wide knowledge base and skill set to effectively evaluate contemporary QMS and add value to the process. Hence, this study presents an open curriculum framework of the knowledge, skills and attributes for quality auditor education. Design/methodology/approach This study describes the first two phases of a three-phase study examining the educational requirements for external quality auditors (EQAs). Phase 1 involved a review of relevant international literature on auditor competence and education; Phase 2 involved the collection of qualitative data from a panel of experts, combined with the initial round of a Delphi study. A thematic analysis was used to analyze the findings from the questionnaire. Findings The findings of this study suggests there is a need to improve EQAs education, as most experts reported the quality of audit to be variable, inconsistent, poor and diminishing in value. The most important improvements to auditor education are to update and improve the auditors' knowledge on the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard and technology in business and skills such as report writing, communication, IT understanding and analytical ability. Some of the attributes reported as being desirable to instill in EQAs include the following: objectivity, integrity, ethics and professionalism; being observant, perceptive, articulate and confident; having good judgment; flexibility, adaptivity and diplomacy, fairness and open-mindedness. Originality/value This study highlights the need for wider EQA education based on the gap identified in its performance. The resulting framework can be adopted by accreditation and certification bodies to evaluate and improve their auditors' audit performance.

Abstract-The concept of appropriation allows for an examination of the participation of objects to the ordinary activities of persons in their domestic, private or community sphere. First, it is confronted with several related concepts: objectification, domestication and familiarization. Then, the momentum of this process is linked to the concepts of attachment, design, assemblage, and social life of objects. The appropriation lens provides a framework that helps identifying the mutual transformations and adjustments of subject and object. Far from the concept of empowerment, this lens illuminates the embodied, material and social distribution of agency. Conclusions provide some theoretical and practical consequences of this lens.

... They also show that there is a clear difference between the efficiency of the banking sector in the EU and the Member States not included in the Eurozone. Alrafadi, Kamaruddin, & Yusuf (2014) provide a comparative analysis of the performance of 17 Libyan banks over the period 2004 to 2010. Results of their analyses reveal that specialized banks have shown higher technical efficiency than commercial and private banks. ...

(Fitzmaurice, 1999, pp. 613-618;Lambert, 2020, p. 3) Radina wrote in 2017 that the human right to an environment has not been recognised in any human rights treaty "but it is widely accepted that the enjoyment of fundamental human rights such as the right to life and health is preconditioned and strongly influenced by environmental factors" (Radina, 2017 in 2019 that "[d]espite the absence in the Convention of a specific reference to environment, the European Court of Human Rights has clearly established that various types of environmental degradation can result in violations of substantive human rights," and that the right to health in the European Social Charter also covers the right to a healthy environment (Mijatović, 2019). ... There have been very few studies which investigated the main determinants affecting share prices in the Bahrain financial market and the relationship between financial ratios and financial performance of companies in Bahrain. For instance, Adnan et al. (2021) explored the relationship of the financial indicators on the bank's performance in Bahrain where the study aimed at evaluating how far the financial analysis using ratios are useful in measuring the actual performance. Their results show that the large bank is more efficient in term of the efficiency ratios to generate income by utilizing their full economic resources and give the high efficiency ratio as compared to small bank. ...
