... Studies have shown that gibberellins are effective in activating cell division and increasing growth by shortening the lag phase. This phytohormone can also improve the performance of algal cells in different environments by increasing the synthesis of photosynthetic pigments and improving light absorption, helping to adapt to different stresses, regulating carbon metabolism and delaying senescence (Han et al. 2018;Wang et al. 2021;Negi et al. 2024).
