In this paper, the heat treatment of 40Cr steel is carried out to explore the difference of performance of 40Cr steel under different temperatures and different heat treatment conditions, and the optimal scheme is obtained. The results show that the workpiece is subjected to 850 °C normalizing plus 240°C low temperature tempering and 860°Cnormalizing plus 440°C medium temperature tempering and 860°Cnormalizing plus 520°Chigh temperature tempering. It is found that in the process of temperature increase, the infiltration A large amount of alloying elements such as carbon and chromium contained in the carbon body are incorporated into the austenite. Under the premise of ensuring the normalizing temperature is constant, as the tempering temperature increases, the hardness of the sample decreases, the toughness increases, and the microstructure of the metallographic microstructure is coarse. The samples were compared with 860°C oil quenching + 240°C low temperature tempering and 860°C normalizing + 240Clow temperature tempering samples. It was found that although the low temperature tempering after oil quenching had the highest strength, the plasticity index decreased significantly, the impact toughness value was the lowest, and the comprehensive performance was poor.

9SiCr steel is a low alloy cutting tool steel and it has high tempering stability and its hardenability and maximum hardness is much higher than chrome steel. This paper mainly analyzes the effect of microstructure and hardness of the ball-annealing, low-temperature normalizing and high-temperature normalizing in different heat treatment process about 9SiCr steel. The results show that the ball annealing pearl spherical, reducing the hardness, ease of cutting. The hardness of 9SiCr steel after spheroidizing annealing is lower, and the Rockwell hardness is 15.5HRC. The lamellar pearlite is obtained by high-temperature normalizing and low-temperature normalizing, but a large amount of cementite is precipitated during the high-temperature normalizing. It was continuous mesh, the steel becomes brittle, Rockwell hardness 42HRC, and low temperature normalized Rockwell hardness 55HRC.

For the process that massive limestone is added into converter directly, the problem of slow slagging and low dephosphorization rate can generate. The transformation of converter oxygen lance has been considered in the paper, realizing the oxygen lance blowing powder of granular limestone slag and the rapid slagging and high efficiency of dephosphorization. Based on 120t converter smelting, the consumption of limestone in this process has been calculated in this paper, and a multi-function oxygen gun has been designed to provide guidance for actual production.
... The microstructures, phase transformations, mechanical properties, ultrasonic velocities, and acoustic attenuations have also been studied. Li et al. 5) provided a heat treatment method for 40Cr steel involving oil quenching and air tempering. The time and temperature of quenching were 40 min and 850°C, respectively, and tempering was performed at 240°C for two hours. ...
