Adriamycin1 was used on 10 children with acute leukemia and malignant tumors (7 acute leukemia and 3 solid tumors). The malignant tumors were rhabdomyosarcoma and neuroblastoma. The type of leukemia was ALL in 6 cases and AML in one. None of these 10 patients had ever received adriamycin; 4 of the 7 children with acute leukemia had previously been treated with other chemo therapeutic agents and 3 were new cases. Ages ranged from 1.5-12 years and there were 7 boys and 3 girls in the group.
