The second advantage is that the model permits to analytically separate different dimensions of climate justice, but bring them together under a shared normative horizon, for example, a conception of a Green, Just Society. Finally, by moving away from the traditional psychologically-centered approaches to recognition, such as the approach taken by the philosopher Axel Honneth (1996), the third advantage is that the paradigm sheds light on the 'institutionalization of cultural patterns' and on when we have solid reasons to say these patterns are just or unjust from a normative perspective.
