What is this page?
This page lists the scientific contributions of an author, who either does not have a ResearchGate profile, or has not yet added these contributions to their profile.
It was automatically created by ResearchGate to create a record of this author's body of work. We create such pages to advance our goal of creating and maintaining the most comprehensive scientific repository possible. In doing so, we process publicly available (personal) data relating to the author as a member of the scientific community.
If you're a ResearchGate member, you can follow this page to keep up with this author's work.

Increasing milk production per cow over the last decades has led to a more intense negative energy balance and extended the duration of body fat mobilization. Management of body condition requires that body condition scores be evaluated on a visual basis. A more objective approach is the measurement of the backfat thickness (BFT) using an ultrasoun...

... In present study, the ultrasound operator moves the probe in a parallel fashion at the measuring line to determine the final measurement position when the profound fascia was aligned in the image, thus ensuring that backfat thickness can be consistent around certain points. In addition, increasing the dose of vegetable-oil couplant clearly revealed each tissue stratification (Sakamoto et al., 2014;Weber et al., 2014). Nevertheless, the maximum difference in BFT measured for the same cow in this experiment was 4.4 mm, which approximately equal to 0.26 units of BCS values ranging from 13.7 to 18.1 mm. ...
