Young's schema questionnaire is a self-report measure developed to evaluate maladaptive schemas; the third version is the most recent. In Mexico, the children's version (Pedroza et al., 2019) and the third extended version (Del Castillo et al., 2016; Herrera, 2014) has been studied. The objective of this study was to validate the YSQ-S3 in the young population of the State of Hidalgo, Mexico. A non-experimental, psychometric study was designed. A total of 1500 students participated, they were selected through a non-probabilistic sampling by quotas, to whom the YSQ-S3 adapted to Spanish was applied (Herrera, 2014; Young, 2005a). All participants signed an informed consent that covered aspects of confidentiality, anonymity and voluntary participation. After the analyzes, the results of the EFA showed a factorial structure of 10 elements and the CFA confirmed a good fit to the model, with GFI indices = .904; RMSEA = .043; Chi2 / gl = 2.49. The reliability range of the subscales was .70 to .90. It is concluded that the YSQ-S3 is valid and reliable to evaluate 10 schemes in this population.
