Yala National Park is a hotpot for the mugger crocodile (Crocodylus palustris) as large numbers of it inhabit the park. The mugger feeds on a variety of animals such as fish, birds, reptiles, chelonians, amphibians, crabs and small to large mammals. We report here the first report of it feeding on a pangolin (Manis crassicaudata). KEY WORDS : Swamp crocodile, Pangolin, Yala National Park, prey animals of mugger, Sri Lanka.
