... When a participatory plan implies big amounts of data coming from the discourse arenas the planning situation to be faced is particularly challenging. What is more, participatory planning is fundamentally mediation-oriented when dealing with the natural environment, so being completely outpaced by the new environmental protection-oriented policy and planning consciousness (Lichfield et al. 1998).
