Bike-sharing schemes have been spreading globally during the last years. These should be publicly available schemes, servicing all groups of population. But the literature shows there are underrepresented population groups amongst their users. The physical access to bike-sharing stations and the supporting network of cycle lanes seems to influence the use of the schemes, especially of lower-income communities. This paper applies an index as a tool to evaluate spatial inequalities in the access to station-based bike-sharing schemes and the cycle network. The index aggregates several variables related to the population level of affordability, including mobility-related variables. The Adapted Affordability Index was inspired in an existing one, produced by the city council, in an attempt to ensure its usability for policymaking. The index was calculated and applied to the case of the bike-sharing scheme in Barcelona, at the geographical level of census tracts. The index shows a strong correlation with income, a variable not always publicly available at such a small geographical level. This study shows that there are inequalities in spatial access to the Barcelona bike-sharing scheme; the wealthier the population group, the more they have access to cycling infrastructure, especially to bike-sharing stations. The bike-sharing trend is accentuated in the hilly areas of the city. The successful application of the Adapted Affordability Index to the city of Barcelona is a promising avenue to provide a robust and easy to use bike-sharing spatial equity evaluation tool for policymaking.

The need to answer to some of the challenges generated by the dynamics of Land Use Land Cover Change (LULCC) in a territory characterized by its dispersed urban structure is the origin of this work. LULCC can be generators of risk spaces and costs associated with urban sprawl, among which the fires in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) and the unsustainable mobility of a dispersed population stand out. The general objective of this paper is to analyze, on one hand, the territorial and landscape dynamics that have generated vulnerable spaces using a quantitative methodology, to determine the evolution of the LULCC using Geographic Information Systems (GIS). On the other hand, we used qualitative methodology, to know the voice of the resident population from semi-structured interviews. The diagnosis allows us to propose alternatives to moderate or even overcome the consequences of these challenges. Each territory has local development opportunities that allow a more sustainable relationship with the environment. Understanding the dynamics of LULCC allows us to find opportunities and alternatives for improvement in territorial management and planning. Key words: urban sprawl, forest fires, sustainable mobility, local development, landscape value.

The current researech deals daily mobility in urban low-density welfare society areas in order to identify pioneers in modal shift. Qualitative methodology was used; semi-structured interviews were conducted in a sample of residents in the municipality of Matadepera (Barcelona Region). The results show the prominence of the car in the daily life and the low permeability of the new mobility practices (active and shared) that similar social groups begin to practice in dense urban areas. The urban morphology and the design of a public space biased for the use of the private vehicle make difficult the modal change. Public policies are needed to make it possible to create proximity and redesign the public space to generate the conditions for modal change.

Social Farming (SF) engages groups at risk of social exclusion in agricultural activities with the aim of including them in society, providing them with job opportunities, and empowering them. This phenomenon materializes in many forms throughout Europe, and is known by many different names, including Green Care in Agriculture, Care Farming and Farming for Health, forms that combine agricultural work with health and social services (care). In various European countries, SF enjoys an advanced stage of development, social visibility, and institutional support. In Catalonia, SF is still in its early stages, an innovation that is progressively becoming consolidated and serving as an instrument to facilitate sustainable territorial development. This article provides an analysis of the status quo and the dynamics of SF in Catalonia, as the first objective, where there has been little study of this phenomenon, based on the creation of a database of existing projects, in-depth interviews with those who manage the entities and an analysis of the sector's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) based on the information collected during the field research. It also provides case studies of selected initiatives that identify key characteristics, management models, and level of social impact based on Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Social Return on Investment (SROI) analyses as a second objective. This dual approach allowed us to show how SF has taken shape at our regional scale, which actors have intervened, and elements that have supported or obstructed this new practice. It also showed the type of entities in existence, their specific characteristics, and their social impact in order to understand how SF is structured in this specific territorial and social context.
... Hosford and Winters 20 analyzed the distribution of bike-sharing stations in relation to socioeconomic factors in Canadian cities, finding disparities in access. Similarly, several works [21][22][23] have examined equity considerations in bike-share system design across different cities, highlighting the need for fair and just planning to ensure equitable access. ...

... Like organic farming, this practice also excludes the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides and rather depends on manures and composts. Country-level experiences suggest that organic farming as a mode of social farming is widely practiced in Catalonia (Guirado et al. 2017), Italy (Fazzi 2011), Austria (Wiesinger et al. 2013) and Germany (Limbrunner and van Elsen 2013). 5 An organic cluster comprises 25-50 organic producer groups registered under the Paramparagat Krishi Vikash Yojana (PKVY). ...

Besides, the travel impact (air and water pollution, waste, barrier effects, noise, accidents, and cost of parking) and the relationship with the municipality's dimensions were quantified by multivariate regression. The index was also used to examine the relationship between land use and urban development type and the correlation between urban factors and different mobility patterns to work (Mendiola et al., 2014). ...
