Adolescence is a transition phase towards adulthood marked by physical, hormonal, and psychological changes. One of the changes that adolescent girls often experience is acne, which can affect self-confidence and body image. In the digital era, TikTok plays an important role in shaping beauty standards through beauty influencers. This is closely related to social comparison, where individuals compare themselves to others based on the beauty standards displayed. This study aims to determine the effect of social comparison on the body image of adolescent girls with acne who follow beauty influencer accounts on TikTok. The study used a quantitative approach with a causality design. The subjects in this study were 115 adolescent girls who had acne problems and followed beauty influencer accounts on TikTok. The variables were measured using a scale from the Schaefer & Thompson social comparison theory and the Multidimensional Body Self-Relations Questionnaire Appearance Scales (MBSRQ-AS) scale. The analysis technique used simple linear regression. The results of this study found that the majority of adolescents with acne who followed beauty influencer accounts on TikTok had a high level of social comparison and had a negative body image. Social comparison has a significant effect on body image with a negative direction and a coefficient of 68.2%. Abstrak. Remaja adalah fase transisi menuju dewasa yang ditandai oleh perubahan fisik, hormonal, dan psikologis. Salah satu perubahan yang sering dialami remaja perempuan adalah jerawat, yang dapat memengaruhi kepercayaan diri dan body image. Di era digital, TikTok berperan penting dalam membentuk standar kecantikan melalui beauty influencer. Hal ini berkaitan erat dengan social comparison, di mana individu membandingkan diri dengan orang lain berdasarkan standar kecantikan yang ditampilkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh social comparison terhadap body image remaja perempuan berjerawat yang mengikuti akun beauty influencer di TikTok. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kausalitas. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 115 remaja perempuan yang memiliki masalah jerawat dan mengikuti akun beauty influencer di Tiktok. Variabel diukur menggunakan skala dari teori social comparison Schaefer & Thompson dan skala The Multidimensional Body Self-Relations Questionnaire Appearance Scales (MBSRQ-AS). Teknik analisis dilakukan menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa mayoritas remaja berjerawat yang mengikuti akun beauty influencer di Tiktok memiliki tingkat social comparison yang tinggi dan memiliki body image negatif. Social comparison memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap body image dengan arah pengaruh negatif dan koefisien sebesar 68,2%.


The Influence of Mental Health Literacy on Academic Stress Levels Among Students in Bandung City

Mental health has become one of the most frequently discussed topics, particularly among university students. In Indonesia, academic stress is the most dominant mental health issue faced by students. This study aims to explore the impact of mental health literacy on the level of academic stress among students who have utilized psychological services in higher education institutions. The research involved 217 university students in Bandung as participants. Mental health literacy was measured using the Mental Health Literacy Scale developed by Jung et al. (2016), based on Jorm's (1997) theory. Meanwhile, academic stress levels were assessed using the Student-Life Stress Inventory (SLSI) by Gadzella (1997). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of the analysis revealed a significant negative effect (p = 0.000; p < 0.05) between mental health literacy and academic stress levels, with a coefficient of determination of 28.7%. This finding indicates that the higher the level of mental health literacy among students, the lower their level of academic stress. This study highlights the importance of mental health literacy in reducing academic stress among university students. The implications of these findings can serve as a foundation for developing mental health education programs in higher education institutions to improve students' psychological well-being. Abstrak. Kesehatan mental menjadi salah satu topik yang semakin banyak dibicarakan, khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa. Di Indonesia, stres akademik merupakan isu kesehatan mental yang paling dominan di antara mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh literasi kesehatan mental terhadap tingkat stres akademik pada mahasiswa yang telah menggunakan layanan psikologis di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 217 mahasiswa di Kota Bandung sebagai partisipan. Literasi kesehatan mental diukur menggunakan Mental Health Literacy Scale yang dikembangkan oleh Jung et al. (2016) berdasarkan teori Jorm (1997). Sementara itu, tingkat stres akademik diukur menggunakan Student-Life Stres Inventory (SLSI) oleh Gadzella (1997). Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya pengaruh negatif yang signifikan (p = 0.000; p < 0.05) antara literasi kesehatan mental dan tingkat stres akademik, dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 28,7%. Artinya semakin tinggi literasi kesehatan mental yang dimiliki mahasiswa, semakin rendah tingkat stres akademik yang dialami. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan pentingnya literasi kesehatan mental dalam mengurangi stres akademik di kalangan mahasiswa. Implikasi hasil ini dapat menjadi dasar pengembangan program edukasi kesehatan mental di perguruan tinggi guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa.


Pengaruh Problematic Social Media Use terhadap Perilaku Cyberbullying pada Penggemar K-Pop

This study examines the influence of Problematic Social Media Use (PSMU) on cyberbullying among K-Pop fans in Indonesia, focusing on the high intensity of social media use within this community. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected via an online questionnaire based on the Cyberbullying Perpetration Scale (CBPS) and Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS), both adapted into Indonesian. The sample consisted of 459 respondents aged 15–22 years, selected through convenience sampling. Simple linear regression was used to analyze the relationship between PSMU and cyberbullying. Results indicate that 95% of respondents exhibit high PSMU levels, and 16.8% show high involvement in cyberbullying behaviors. A positive but weak correlation exists between PSMU and cyberbullying (R = 0.132, p < 0.05), with PSMU accounting for only 1.7% of the variance in cyberbullying. Social pressure, anonymity, and fandom dynamics further influence this relationship. The findings highlight the importance of preventive measures, such as digital literacy education and time management for social media use, to reduce the negative effects of PSMU on adolescent online behavior. Future studies are encouraged to adopt qualitative methods to explore deeper motives underlying aggressive behaviors in online fandom communities. Abstrak. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan kuesioner online berbasis skala Cyberbullying Perpetration Scale (CBPS) dan Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS) yang sudah di adaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Sampel terdiri dari 459 responden berusia 15–22 tahun, dipilih dengan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 95% responden memiliki tingkat PSMU tinggi, sedangkan 16.8% menunjukkan keterlibatan dalam perilaku cyberbullying kategori tinggi. Terdapat hubungan positif tetapi lemah antara PSMU dan cyberbullying (R = 0.132; p < 0.05), dengan PSMU hanya menjelaskan 1.7% variasi perilaku cyberbullying. Faktor seperti tekanan sosial, anonimitas, dan dinamika fandom turut memengaruhi hubungan ini. Penelitian ini menyoroti perlunya langkah preventif untuk mengurangi dampak negatif PSMU terhadap perilaku daring remaja, seperti pendidikan literasi digital dan pengelolaan waktu penggunaan media sosial. Pendekatan kualitatif juga disarankan untuk menggali motif yang lebih mendalam di balik perilaku agresif dalam komunitas daring ini.

In recent decades, the role of fathers has expanded beyond being solely financial providers; they are now expected to be actively involved in child-rearing. However, father involvement in parenting remains relatively low in Indonesia. Traditional perceptions that position fathers as family leaders often lead them to prioritize work. Meanwhile, jobs with high pressure, long working hours, and unsupportive work environments can increase work stress. For example, fathers working as police officers face challenges in balancing professional duties and their role as parents, which can lead to time conflicts with family responsibilities. This study aims to analyze the influence of work stress on the parenting involvement of fathers who work as police officers. Using a quantitative approach with a causal design, this research is a population study involving all married male traffic police officers at the Tasikmalaya City Police Department who have children, totaling 49 participants. The variables were measured using scales based on the aspects of work stress from Wu et al. (2018) and father involvement from Hawkins (2002), analyzed through simple linear regression. The findings indicate that most fathers who work as police officers experience high work stress and have low parenting involvement. Work stress significantly affects father involvement with a negative direction and a coefficient of 63% Abstrak. Dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, peran ayah tidak lagi sebatas sebagai pencari nafkah, tetapi juga diharapkan aktif dalam pengasuhan anak. Namun, keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah. Persepsi tradisional yang menempatkan ayah sebagai pemimpin keluarga membuat mereka lebih fokus pada pekerjaan. Padahal, pekerjaan dengan tekanan tinggi, jam kerja panjang, dan lingkungan kerja yang kurang mendukung dapat meningkatkan stres kerja. Contohnya ayah yang berprofesi polisi menghadapi tantangan dalam menyeimbangkan tugas profesional dan peran sebagai ayah, yang dapat menyebabkan konflik waktu dengan keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh stres kerja terhadap keterlibatan pengasuhan ayah yang berprofesi sebagai polisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain kausalitas. Penelitian ini merupakan studi populasi dengan subjek seluruh polisi pria satuan lalu lintas Polres Tasikmalaya Kota yang sudah menikah dan memiliki anak, berjumlah 49 orang. Variabel diukur menggunakan skala berdasarkan aspek stres kerja dari Wu et al. (2018) dan skala keterlibatan ayah dari Hawkins (2002), dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar ayah yang berprofesi sebagai polisi mengalami stres kerja tinggi dan memiliki keterlibatan pengasuhan yang rendah. Stres kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterlibatan ayah dengan arah negatif dan koefisien sebesar 63%.

High school students in Islamic boarding schools face challenges both in the boarding school environment and at school. They encounter to adapt to new surroundings that require them to have clear goals and to balance their time between the boarding school and school environments, necessitating resilience to overcome these challenges. Such conditions can interfere their performance in both places and may lead to negative outcomes. Therefore, having persistence in the field of education is crucial for academic success. To foster persistence, it is important to have encouragements that can influence it, one of which is a growth mindset. This study used a quantitative method with data collection techniques through questionnaires distributed to 384 high school students in Islamic boarding schools in West Bandung Regency. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data were analyzed using simple regression and descriptive statistics to depict demographic data. The measurement tools used were the Dweck Mindset Instrument (2006), adapted by Novanto (2023), and the Grit Scale developed by Duckworth (2007), also adapted by Novanto (2023). The results showed that the levels of growth mindset and persistence among high school students in Islamic boarding schools were high, and growth mindset had an impact on persistence among these students. Abstrak. Siswa SMA yang berada di pondok pesantren mengalami tantangan baik dalam lingkungan pesantren atau sekolah, kesulitan dalam lingkungan baru yang menuntut mereka untuk memiliki tujuan, dan menyeimbangkan waktu baik di lingkungan pesantren maupun sekolah, sehingga diperlukan ketahanan dalam menghadapi tantangan. Kondisi tersebut akan menganggu mereka baik di lingkungan pesantren maupun sekolah dan akan berakibat buruk. Maka penting memiliki grit dalam bidang pendidikan untuk keberhasilan belajar dan pendidikan. untuk menumbuhkan grit penting memiliki dorongan yang dapat mempengaruhi, salah satu variabel yang mempengaruhi grit, yaitu growth mindset. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 384 siswa SMA di pondok pesantren di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu, cluster random sampling. Data dianlisis dengan menggunakan teknik regresi sederhana dan statistik deskriptif untuk menggambarkan data demografi. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Dweck Mindset Instrument (2006) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Novanto (2023) dan kegigihan (Grit) yang dibuat oleh Duckworth (2007) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Novanto (2023). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tingkat growth mindset dan kegigihan (grit) pada siswa SMA di pondok pesantren tinggi dan growth mindset memiliki pengaruh terhadap kegigihan (grit) pada siswa SMA di pondok pesantren.

Teachers in digital era have a demand to develop their duties and roles in teaching by the times, this can be achieved by having a growth mindset. Growth mindset involves what teachers think about in developing their teaching skills and abilities. Developing and maintaining a growth mindset will lead to persistence or grit. Teachers who have persistence will have higher improved pedagogical thinking, effective performance, and better teacher cognition. This study examines the impact of growth mindset and grit on teachers persistence when facing challenges. This study used a non-experimental quantitative approach with cluster random sampling technique involving research subjects as many as 306 public high school teachers in Bandung city. The measuring instruments used are Dweck Mindset Instrument (2006) which has been adapted by Novanto (2023) and Grit created by Duckworth (2007) which has been adapted by Novanto (2023). The data analysis method in this study is simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the level of growth mindset and grit in public high school teachers in Bandung City was in the low category and there was an influence between the growth mindset variable on grit.Abstrak. Guru di era digital memiliki tuntutan untuk terus mengembangkan tugas dan perannya dalam mengajar sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, hal ini dapat dicapai dengan memiliki growth mindset. Growth mindset melibatkan apa yang dipikirkan guru dalam mengembangkan keterampilan dan kemampuan mengajar mereka. Dengan mengembangkan dan mempertahankan growth mindset akan mengarahkan pada kegigihan atau grit. Guru yang memiliki kegigihan akan memiliki pemikiran pedagogis yang lebih tinggi, memiliki kinerja profesional yang lebih efektif, serta dapat berdampak pada kognisi dan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh growth mindset dan grit yang akan mendorong dalam pengembangan kemampuan diri melalui usaha yang nantinya akan berdampak pada kegigihan (grit) ketika terdapat permasalahan atau tantangan yang harus dihadapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif non eksperimen dengan teknik cluster random sampling yang melibatkan subjek penelitian sebanyak 306 guru SMA Negeri di kota Bandung. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Dweck Mindset Instrument (2006) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Novanto (2023) dan Grit yang dibuat oleh Duckworth (2007) yang telah diadaptasi oleh Novanto (2023). Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisiS regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat growth mindset dan grit pada guru SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung berada pada kategori rendah dan growth mindset berpengaruh terhadap grit.

The meaning of playing online games is important to explore to understand why playing online games is a passionate activity for enthusiastic and problematic gamers. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect data from 20 gamers (Male, 19-24 years old) who intensely play online games. Through the interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) technique, the meaning of the essential or basic things from the participants life experiences was sought. The results showed that the experience of craving and urge emerged as themes in the decision-making process to continue playing online games even though they realized the negative impact of being too fixated on playing games. Academic stress is a stimulus caused by academic stressors and how they react physically, emotionally, behaviorally and cognitively to these stressors (Gadzella & Masten, 2005). Religious coping is coping with stress with religious patterns and methods such as prayer and worship with the aim of eliminating stress (Pargament 1999). The aim of this research is to determine the effect of religious coping on academic stress in students at the Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of Bandung. The subjects in this study were medical students N = 245 people. The analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The tool for measuring religious coping uses the Iranian Coping Religious Scale by Alfakseir & Coleman (2011) which has been adapted by Shabrina (2017). Meanwhile, the academic stress measuring tool uses the Student Life Stress Inventory by Gadzella & Masten (2005) which has been adapted by Praghlopati et al. (2021). The research results showed that there was a negative influence of 48.7% on academic stress in students at the Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of Bandung. Abstrak. Stres akademik merupakan suatau stimulus yang disebabkan oleh stressor akademik dan bagaimana reaksi mereka terhadap fisik, emosi, perilaku dan kognitif terhadap stressor tersebut (Gadzella & Masten, 2005). Coping religius merupakan coping stress dengan pola dan meted religius seperti berdoa, beribadah dengan tujuan menghilangkan stress (Pargament1999). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh coping religius terhadap stress akademik pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa kedokteran N = 245 orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan regresi linear sederhana. Alat ukur coping religius menggunakan Iranian Coping Relgius Scale oleh Alfakseir & Coleman (2011) yang sudah di adaptasi oleh Shabrina (2017). Sedangkan alat ukur stress akademik menggunakan Student Life Stress Inventory oleh Gadzella & Masten (2005) yang sudah di adaptasi oleh Praghlopati et al. (2021). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh negatif sebesar 48.7% terhadap stress akademik pada mahasiwa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung.

Future orientation is crucial, especially during high school when adolescents begin to think about and prepare for the future. The existence of a father figure as a role model and mentor will help adolescents about their future orientation. This study aims to determine the level of future orientation of adolescents seen from father figures who play a role in parenting. This research design uses descriptive quantitative method using cluster random sampling technique. The characteristics of the participants of this study are public senior high school students in the city of Bandung with an age range of 15 to 18 years. The participants obtained amounted to 528 respondents. The measuring instrument used is the theoretical model of Future Orientation built by Seginer, Nurmi, and Poole (1991) developed by Winurini (2021) for Indonesian adolescents. The data analysis method in this study uses descriptive statistical methods using percentages and tables. The results showed that the level of adolescents' future orientation was in the moderate category. And adolescents see biological fathers as father figures who are involved in parenting. Abstrak. Orientasi Masa Depan merupakan hal yang krusial, terutama pada masa SMA ketika remaja mulai memikirkan dan mempersiapkan masa depan. Keberadaan figur ayah sebagai role model dan mentor akan membantu remaja mengenai gambaran masa depannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat orientasi masa depan remaja dilihat dari figur ayah yang berperan dalam pengasuhan. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Karakteristik partisipan penelitian ini merupakan siswa SMA Negeri di kota Bandung dengan rentang usia 15 hingga 18 tahun. Partisipan yang didapatkan berjumlah 528 responden. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah model teoretikal Orientasi Masa Depan yang dibangun oleh Seginer, Nurmi, dan Poole (1991) yang dikembangkan oleh Winurini (2021) untuk remaja Indonesia. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan persentase dan tabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tigkat orientasi masa depan remaja berada pada kategori cukup. Serta remaja melihat ayah kandung sebagai figur ayah yang terlibat dalam pengasuhan.
