The High Investments in political activities have become the political parties more worried about their efficiency. Given the nature of the related information (inputs and outputs with different dimensions) necessary for the analysis, the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a good alternative for the evaluation of the efficiency in the context of political parties. This paper aims to determine the Classical and Cross Efficiencies of the political parties, that disputed the Brazilian Elections in the years 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. For the application of the methodology, we considered the parties as the Decision Making Units (DMUs); the Partisan Funds and the number of candidates as the inputs; and the quantity of elected candidates as the outputs. The classical efficiency was computed through a DEA BCC model oriented for outputs. The Cross-Efficiency was obtained using the relation of each political party with its rivals. The results have shown that an efficient party from the classical model can be considered inefficient when compared with the others parties. The parties are yet clustered, and the most efficient in each group is determined.
