A design of working clamps is proposed for fastening composite material tubular specimens in an Instron-1275 test machine. In tests of specimens subjected to tension, torsion, internal pressure, or the combined action of these force factors the proposed clamps operate sufficiently reliably. Compression tests were made on tubular specimen with an outer diameter of 121 mm, an inner diameter of 108, and a length of 100 mm. The working clamps and the device described make it possible to test tubular specimens of composite materials in the plane stressed state and ring specimens in compression.
