[Show abstract][Hide abstract] ABSTRACT: A dairy cow was suffering from a fever and cardiac murmur for 3 weeks. At autopsy, the formation of a verruca was observed on the valva atrioventricularis dextra. The verruca was the size of an egg with a shape resembling that of a cauliflower. Cardiobactrium hominis was isolated in pure culture from the verruca. Therefore, the present case was diagnosed as having endocarditis verrucosa. The present case may be the first diagnosis of bovine endocarditis verrucosa caused by Cardiobacterium hominis.
