[Show abstract][Hide abstract] ABSTRACT: We reported two cases of retroperitoneal hematoma in patients who received a combination of anticoagulant therapy and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). We should be aware of the possible interaction of this combination therapy and monitor prothrombin time (PT) prolongation. CT is useful for evaluation of the disease.

[Show abstract][Hide abstract] ABSTRACT: A case of 32-year-old man was admitted because of fever, cough, and abnormal shadow on a chest radiograph. Laboratory examination showed high CRP and hyperimmunoglobulinemia. Chest CT scan showed bilateral diffuse reticulonodular and mediastinal lymphadenopathy. Pathologically, cervical lymph node biopsy showed follicular hyperplasia and intervening sheets of plasma cells. Open lung biopsy showed infiltration of lymphocytes and plasma cells in interstitium, then we diagnosed multicentric Castleman's disease with LIP.
[Show abstract][Hide abstract] ABSTRACT: We reported a case of 51-year-old woman with nodular type of muscular sarcoidosis. On MR imaging, the peripheral area showed slightly high intensity on T1- weighted images (WI) and high intensity on T2WI. The central area showed low intensity on both T1-and T2WI. On post contrast MRI, the peripheral portion was enhanced. These MRI findings correlated well with pathologic findings.

We treated the aneurysm with transcatheter arterial embolization using interlocking detachable coil successfully. The true aneurysms of the hepatic artery are potentially life-threatening as well as other visceral artery aneurysms. But their natural history are not well-defined. Embolotherapy for them is useful but its indication is controversial.
[Show abstract][Hide abstract] ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to assess the utility of 201Tl SPECT in the differential diagnosis of intracranial tumors and to determine the relationship between 201Tl uptake and histological types.
Thirty-eight patients (19 males and 19 females) with thirty-eight brain tumors were evaluated with 201Tl-SPECT. The early and delayed 201Tl uptake ratio was calculated, and the retention index (RI) was applied as follows; RI = delayed uptake ratio/early uptake ratio.
The RI of malignant tumors was higher (0.72 +/- 0.18) than that of benign tumors (0.50 +/- 0.16) and the difference was statistically significant (p = 0.00045). The difference between high-grade glioma (0.80 +/- 0.15) and metastatic tumors (0.64 +/- 0.19) was statistically significant (p = 0.039).
201Tl-SPECT may add useful biochemical information and could differentiate malignant brain tumors from benign lesions, but the RI of metastatic tumors varied depending on the organs with the primary lesion and histological types.

[Show abstract][Hide abstract] ABSTRACT: Uterine arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is rare cause of menorrhaggia or abnormal uterine bleeding. The cause of uterine AVM is various and include congenital or acquired. This time, we experienced two patients who suffered from abnormal uterine bleeding cause of uterine AVM after pregnancy or artificial abortion and we were successful to treat them by TAE. They had no symptom and good course after TAE. A major advantage of TAE is preservation of reproductive function. So we recommend TAE is the first choice of treatment against uterine AVM.
