The fact that the narrator was someone other than the writer was discovered only after thesecond half of the XX. century. Thus an important step forward was taken, which Stanzeldefined as 'the circuitousness principle.' According to him, we perceive and make sense ofnarration in a circuitous manner. There are delegates both between the writer and the text, andbetween the text and the reader. ...
