Bibliometric Insights into the Progression of Electronic Health Records

Abstract

Electronic Health Records (EHR) are essential in modern healthcare, underpinning e-health initiatives. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer software toanalyze data from the Scopus database. The examination of a vast array of 10,701 EHR-related documents from 1991 to 2023 aims to highlight the growth, current trends, and prospects for the future. This study observed a significant increase in EHR-related publications over the years, predominantly led by the United States, with substantial input from the United Kingdom, China, and India. In the Arab region, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Morocco are notable contributors, with institutions like King Saud University at the forefront of Arab academic research. Key terms such as EHR, machine learning, and blockchain dominate, indicating a focus on advanced technology in healthcare. The study also stresses the importance of addressing privacy, security, and patient safety in EHR research. This comprehensive examination is anticipated to make a significant impact on the field, providing a solid understanding of the role of EHR in healthcare and influencing future research and policymaking in this area.

This study aims to explore the impact of strategic agility on the strategic performance of international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Jordan. Data were collected through surveys of 312 managers within these organizations in Jordan. SEM analysis was used to examine the direct effects of strategic agility on strategic performance. The results showed a positive effect of strategic agility on the strategic performance of NGOs in Jordan. Recommendations include investing in capacity-building initiatives that focus on speed and flexibility, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation, and strengthening partnerships and networks to leverage collective capabilities and resources. This study provides practical insights for organizational leaders and practitioners seeking to enhance the strategic performance of NGOs in Jordan.

This study aims to explore the impact of green supply chain practices on the performance of the healthcare sector in Jordan. It seeks to conduct an empirical analysis to understand how the adoption of environmentally sustainable supply chain strategies affects various aspects of performance within healthcare institutions in Jordan. Data were collected through structured surveys administered to 246 healthcare managers within hospitals in Jordan. SEM analysis is used to examine the direct effects of green supply chain practices on performance outcomes. Jordan's healthcare business benefited from environmentally friendly supply chain practices. This research is note-worthy for its empirical investigation of the correlation between green supply chain practices and the success of Jordan's healthcare industry, providing practical guidance for healthcare organizations to improve their operational efficiency, contribute to environmental conservation, and deliver high-quality healthcare in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

This study examines the relationship between Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) initiatives—such as green recruitment, green training, green technology, and green compensation—and sustainable performance dimensions (environmental, social, and economic) in Jordanian universities. This study aims to explore the impact of open innovation practices on the sustainable performance of Islamic banks in Jordan, and to analyze how the adoption of open innovation strategies affects the sustainability initiatives and practical outcomes of these banks in the Jordanian context. Data were collected through questionnaires conducted on 206 employees in Islamic banks in Jordan. The questionnaire tool assesses perceptions of open innovation practices, sustainability initiatives and performance indicators. SEM analysis is used to examine the direct effects of open innovation on sustainability. The results showed a positive impact of open innovation on the sustainability of Islamic banks in Jordan. Specifically, the adoption of open innovation practices, such as internal, external and coupled innovation, has improved sustainability performance in environmental, social and economic dimensions. This study contributes to understanding the relationship between open innovation and sustainability in the context of Islamic banks in Jordan through empirical analysis. The findings also provide practical insights for banks aiming to enhance sustainability performance and maintain competitiveness through their investments in open innovation in a changing and increasingly connected business environment.

In the fast-changing digital marketing landscape, predicting what the next decade will bring regarding innovation is important. This paper examines potential developments and future paths in digital marketing. Traditional forecasting methods often rely on historical data and trends, which inhibit their ability to adapt to rapidly changing consumer behaviour and emerging technologies. Additionally, they are not very good at making accurate predictions when markets keep changing too quickly. Hence, this paper recommends integrating digital marketing using artificial intelligence (DM-AI) technology to address these issues. DM-AI provides marketers with real-time analysis of massive datasets through AI and machine learning models to help them identify trends, make predictions and personalize marketing strategies across scales. The suggested DM-AI approach allows for quick data-driven decision-making by marketers, enabling faster response time, and increasing campaign efficiency while maximizing return on investment (ROI). Integrating AI into digital marketing strategy makes it possible for firms to respond promptly and precisely, thus enhancing customer satisfaction.

The present research, rooted in operations research, investigates the influence of leadership styles on total quality management (TQM) in the healthcare sector of Palestine. The study examines the mediating role of readiness to change integration within decision sciences between leadership styles of operations employees and TQM. Employing a quantitative research approach with a cross-sectional design, data was systematically sampled from 120 healthcare workers in governmental hospitals. Utilizing Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) for analysis, the findings underscore a positive and significant impact of leadership styles on TQM in healthcare. Additionally, the study reveals a significant and positive impact of leadership style on TQM, mediated by readiness to change. These noteworthy findings contribute to the operations research domain, providing insights into the interplay of leadership dynamics and TQM implementation in the healthcare sector. Furthermore, by bridging theoretical frameworks with practical applications, the study offers actionable strategies for healthcare leaders to enhance TQM implementation, ultimately aiming for improved operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

This research examined how virtual reality technology affects the marketing performance of the fashion industry in Jordan. Based on a sample composed of 528 online customers, structural equation modeling (SEM) was utilized as a statistical approach for hypothesis testing. The research findings demonstrated that virtual reality technology had a positive significant impact on marketing performance. This examination provides many implications that managers in the fashion industry in Jordan could recognize, the most notable was encouraging them to focus on increased product demos utilizing virtual reality technology in order to improve customers' comprehension of the product and boost their confidence when making purchase decisions.

The aim of this reaearch was to examine the impact of electronic human resource management practices on employee commitment in five stars’ hotels in Jordan. The study's population was comprised of employees of several hotels. 385 surveys were gathered, with 373 of them being valid for analysis. Multi-regression was employed to test hypotheses. The study findings indicated that there is an impact of E-HRM practices on employee commitment in Jordan's five-star hotels. In light of the findings, the researcher proposes that managers increase their investment in E-HRM and improve e-compensation.

This manuscript investigates the impact of entrepreneurial orientation on corporate ambidexterity. The research relied on primary data gathered from 374 responses from commercial bank managers in Jordan. Structured equation modeling (SEM) was used to examine data and test hypotheses. According to the findings, the dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation, which were innovativeness, risk-taking, and proactiveness, positively impacted the corporate ambidexterity of commercial banks in Jordan. Hence, the manuscript provided a set of recommendations for bank managers that include encouraging a culture that values innovation and supports it on a large scale, including building an internal climate in which workers feel free to put forward and discuss new ideas, as well as experiment with modern methods to deal with the status quo.

The objective of this research aims is to identify impact of social media marketing on EWOM. The study population consisted of students at Jordanian private universities. Smart PLS software was used to test the study hypotheses. The results of the study showed an impact of Social Media Marketing on E-WOM.
