f.nafir@univ-skikda.dz boumedieneslimane@yahoo.fr
MANOVA
Abstract:
This study aimed to explore the attitudes of students of Abdelhamid Mehri University
Constantine 2 towards mental illness, and its relationship with the variables of
specialization, gender, and university level. The study adopted the descriptive-analytical
approach, using the attitudes towards mental illness scale to collect data, and was
analyzed using multiple analysis of variance (MANOVA). The results showed that there
were no statistically significant differences between genders in attitudes towards mental
illness, and there was no interaction effect between gender and major. It was also found
that Master 2 clinical psychology students' attitudes were more positive compared to
students of other majors and lower levels of study. Overall, the results indicated high
averages of the sample members' attitudes towards mental illness.
