Selected Carex species from the Osogovo region
Abstract
The genus Carex (Cyperaceae) in the Osogovo region is present with over 20 species, from the lowland up to the subalpine belt in diverse habitats. Pictured species: A: Carex acutiformis Ehrh.; B: Carex pallescens L.; C: Carex cuprina (Heuff.) A. Kern. (syn. Carex otrubae Podp.); D: Carex pendula Huds.; E: Carex filiformis L. (syn. Carex tomentosa L.); F: Carex nigra (L.) Reichard; G: Carex phyllostachys C. A. Mey.; H: Carex halleriana Asso I: Carex digitata L.
