... [Show full abstract] approximate reasoning. Granular computing could hopefully be the theoretical tool and methodology on information processing and studying other subject. Granulations and related properties based on the semantics of Rough logic are also discussed. Deductive reasoning of the granulations is created. Resolution principles and resolution strategies of granulations based on the semantics of Rough logic are proposed, it includes λ-resolution strategy and lock resolution strategy. The soundness of the granular resolution is proved. Application of granulations based on the semantics of Rough logic in problem resolving, expert systems and machine theorem proving of AI could hopefully be a new research idea and new theoretical tools. Finally, further developing perspectives of granulations based on the semantics of Rough logic are also proposed in this article.
