... [Show full abstract] well as regional politics. However, such a megaproject also raises numerous questions, especially who is benefiting. Against this backdrop, this article analyses the relation between Pakistan and Balochistan in general and the impact of CPEC on this region in particular. It is argued that the CPEC project will further entrench unfortunate patterns, foremost the economic exploitation of Balochistan and political sidelining of the Baloch people.
