As artificial intelligence (AI) and automation technologies advance fast, substantial discussion remains about their influence on jobs and employment. Some expect enormous job losses and structural unemployment as computers and algorithms replace human workers in a variety of industries. However, the prevailing scholarly viewpoint is that, while AI will revolutionize work, it will not result in long-term job losses. AI is projected to have a net impact of job shifting rather than job loss by increasing productivity, accelerating economic growth, changing the structure of jobs, and allowing sectoral employment transitions. Detailed productivity evaluations show a strong correlation between productivity gains and net job creation. A 2022 meta-analysis of 127 papers indicated that productivity increases consistently improve employment and wages. Additional crosscountry data from the OECD shows this association across a wide range of industrialized and emerging countries. Meanwhile, long-term data reveal that working hours have steadily decreased in recent decades without causing significant job losses, while productivity and earnings have increased in parallel. Optimists envision abundant prosperity from automating mundane work, raising productivity, and freeing
human talents for creative pursuits. Pessimists warn of structural technological unemployment as
machines and algorithms make portions of the workforce obsolete. Most expert analyses land somewhere
in between recognizing AI as a disruptive transition requiring nuanced policy responses to ensure positive
outcomes. But effectively crafting such policies demands clearly understanding the multifaceted context
surrounding this transformation.
Fundamentally, the advent of advanced AI continues the historic interplay between technology and work.
From early mechanize looms displacing artisan weavers to computers reshaping 20th century offices,
technological progress continually changes occupational structures. But rather than long-term net job
destruction, economists typically find productivity enhancements open new opportunities. Still, this cycle
of ‘creative destruction’ involves displacement and transition costs for impacted workers. Questions center
on whether emerging AI technologies differ significantly from prior innovations. Can their autonomous, self-
learning capacities yield unprecedented impacts surpassing human capabilities across nearly all

AI’s economic impacts range from adding 14% to global GDP by 2030 per PwC analysis, to jeopardizing up

majority of member states over the past few decades. Undoubtedly, leaders must maintain a state of
constant vigilance in order to consistently enhance workforce policies in preparation for an economy
propelled by AI.
In brief, cross-country data from the OECD unequivocally demonstrates the overwhelming positive
correlation between declining unemployment rates and increasing productivity, which may appear
counterintuitive at first glance. Even significant exporters of manufactured goods, such as Japan and
Germany, successfully transitioned to more automated production without experiencing any net job losses.
In the interim, developing nations utilized technological advancements to simultaneously increase levels
of employment and productivity. While it is inevitable that AI and automation will cause some job
transitions, the data unequivocally indicates that, in nearly all countries analyzed, these technologies will
generate more and better employment than they eliminate, provided that appropriate policies are in place
to enable human adaptability.
3. CHANGING NATURE OF WORK

compared to a century ago.

The overly rosy techno-optimist outlook foresees automation freeing all humans from mundane work into
creative leisure by unlocking abundance for everyone through extreme productivity gains. In such vision,
tax revenues from corporate profits fund universal basic incomes. Algorithms handle all routine tasks from
driving trucks to analyzing medical scans to filling out paperwork. People get paid simply for pursuing
individual passions, enjoying limitless personal time for self-actualization.
However, such techno-utopian assumptions overlook transitional policy complexities and gloss over
concentration risks where gains accrue heavily towards Big Tech shareholders rather than average
workers. Even if automation boosts net productivity and prosperity overall, certain groups still endure acute
displacement hardships absent income protections between lost manufacturing jobs to uncertain

further.
Conversely, the doom perspective obsesses over worst-case scenarios of so-called “robot apocalypses”

required adaptations surrounding AI, but sees abundant potential for broadly enhancing lives if transitions
manage smoothly. Incumbent workforces, particularly in manufacturing, logistics and clerical roles, do
require assistance shifts into new occupations less automatable like nursing, technology services and
creative applications. Governments, firms and schools need coordinated strategies easing income
discontinuities for vulnerable groups. But if support structures function properly, aggregates gains
massively outweigh localized losses.
Rather than dwell in extremes or ignore citizens stressed by the transitions, nuanced policies targeting
inequality and empowering human resilience promise positive-sum outcomes benefiting companies and
communities alike. Technology remains fundamentally about uplifting human flourishing after all. With this

could automate via currently available technologies within just the next decade. Even higher skill

The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Higher Education (HE) is transforming personalized learning, administrative automation, and decision-making. However, this progress presents a duality, as AI adoption also introduces ethical and institutional challenges, including algorithmic bias, data privacy risks, and governance inconsistencies. To address these concerns, this study introduces the Human-Driven AI in Higher Education (HD-AIHED) Framework, ensuring compliance with UNESCO and OECD ethical standards. This conceptual research employs a qualitative meta-synthesis approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative studies to identify patterns, contradictions, and gaps in AI adoption within HE. It reinterprets existing datasets through theoretical and ethical lenses to develop governance frameworks. The study applies a participatory integrated co-system, Phased Human Intelligence, SWOC analysis, and AI ethical review boards to assess AI readiness and governance strategies for universities and HE institutions. The HD-AIHED model bridges AI research gaps, addresses global real-time challenges, and provides tailored, scalable, and ethical strategies for diverse educational contexts. By emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration among stakeholders, this study envisions AIHED as a transparent and equitable force for innovation. No (leadership) share no gain (for societies and economies)! Leveraging UNESCO’s unique Gender-Based Resilience Framework, this report explores the role of women in leadership positions in both decision-making and high-tech, including in artificial intelligence-related innovations. It further highlights progress towards the G20 Brisbane Target, aimed to accelerate progress on gender equality by reducing the gender gap in labour market participation rates by 25% by 2025. Women remain underrepresented in decision-making, holding only about 26% of seats in national parliaments worldwide on average. In the world of work, female labour participation continues to lag behind men’s, at 47% for women against 72% for men on average. Despite progress by G20 members towards the Brisbane Target, a 2% average gap in absolute terms remained to be filled in 2022. In the high-tech world, women make up only 30% of AI professionals, and even less of leaders - only 8 women appear among the CEOs of the top 100 high-tech companies. Female inventors in AI account for about 37% of patents filed in 2022-23. The lack of diversity and inclusiveness that these gaps represent continues to hinder progress, creativity, innovation, and wellbeing, undermining resilience and societies’ ability to respond to crises. The evidence proposed calls on policymakers to develop and implement effective gender-transformative policies to eliminate these gaps.

The aim of this study is to explain the concept of green jobs in detail. Achieving a structure based on a green economy and fulfilling the requirements of a green economy has become one of the priority goals for countries globally. One essential element of the green economy process is green jobs. Developments such as the transition to environmentally friendly production systems, the reduction in the use of non-renewable energy, and the increase in the use of renewable energy have also affected the labor market and brought about the concept of green jobs. Green jobs do not have an absolute definition, as they are defined in different ways according to different sources. Because it is a broad concept, it is very difficult to make a single definition that brings all its features together. Although it does not have a generally accepted definition, green jobs are, in short, a type of employment that includes activities that prioritize improving the quality of the environment and using existing resources in the most efficient way without harming nature.

This study article looks at how virtual employees, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), might affect the workforce. More companies are starting to use virtual workers to handle different tasks, such as writing code and answering customer service questions, as AI technology improves. The introduction of these AI agents raises concerns about the collaboration between humans and AI in the workplace and job automation. This article investigates the potential impact on human employment by analyzing projections regarding AI adoption and case studies of companies that have already implemented virtual employees. It addresses the ethical implications of the use of virtual employees, the capabilities and limitations of current technologies, and the strategies for effectively integrating AI into business operations, rather than viewing it as a threat. The results indicate that, although virtual employees have the potential to replace human jobs in certain sectors and substantially alter the way work is conducted, their inability to replicate distinctive human skills may indicate that collaboration, rather than cooperation, is the optimal approach.

Automation and artificial intelligence (AI) could fundamentally alter the nature of work going forward. This paper researches historical antecedents of technological advances, analyzes contemporary factual data on artificial intelligence adoption, and evaluates optimistic and pessimistic projections to estimate possible implications on employment, productivity, and work-life balance. Although artificial intelligence promises enhanced efficiency and flexibility, concerns about technological unemployment and equitable sharing of advantages remain. Following a foundation in the foundations of artificial intelligence and machine learning, the book examines important technical advancements since the Industrial Revolution, which initially supplanted professions before driving more general economic growth. Historical experiences suggest that, even if temporary labor displacement is unavoidable, significant technological integration typically leads to increased net job creation. Still, the speed and transformational power of artificial intelligence adoption present unique difficulties. Real-world implementation of AI currently remains relatively concentrated in tech sectors and advanced economies, though use cases are multiplying across manufacturing, services, logistics, and office work. Positive views are supported by first pilot tests of AI-enabled four-day work weeks and automated processes showing increased productivity and output. Still, quite different projections for effects on the labor force result from inadequate longitudinal data and uncertainty in projection models. Under optimistic projections, industry leaders such as Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan contend artificial intelligence might bring about a paradigm change toward three-day weekends and considerably greater work-life balance for individuals while increasing corporate profits. Yet other simulations model catastrophic job losses from automation, imperiling incomes for less skilled workers. Separating overblown hopes from worries is still difficult. The report thus emphasizes the need of evidence-based, ethical policymaking to control artificial intelligence systems and smooth labor changes. Emphasizing developing creative, social-emotional, and entrepreneurial competencies less vulnerable to automation, recommendations include massive public and private investment in vocational retraining programs, portable benefits decoupled from traditional full-time employment and possible universal basic income schemes. Although artificial intelligence will create both immediate dislocations and long-term opportunities, its effects mostly depend on strategic decisions made by governments, businesses, teachers, and society concerning priorities, values, and assisting affected communities. Artificial intelligence (AI) has become indispensable in the cybersecurity domain, evolving in lockstep with increasingly sophisticated threats. This paper analyzes AI's growing role in combating cyber risks. The background establishes that AI now impacts various sectors, including cybersecurity. Its presence in defending digital assets has expanded since rudimentary spam filtering in the 2000s. However, the threat landscape has also evolved. Attacks like Stuxnet demonstrated more advanced capabilities, underscoring the need for improved AI defenses. The paper then examines the current state of AI in cybersecurity. Remote work and Internet of Things have increased attack surfaces. AI is now dual-use-assisting defenders while empowering attackers. This paper delves into AI's dual impact. On one hand, AI aids defenders by identifying threats, analyzing behavior, scanning for vulnerabilities, and automating responses. Machine learning algorithms can detect anomalies and emerging attack patterns. But AI democratization has also enabled sophisticated strikes. Criminals employ AI for spear phishing, social engineering, target profiling, and intelligent data sorting. The paper highlights potential future threats from AI-powered cyber weapons. In conclusion, while AI is integral for cybersecurity defense, its dual-use nature poses ethical challenges. As companies like Cylance continue innovating AI-driven solutions, they must also focus on addressing risks. With cyber threats rapidly advancing in complexity, the importance of AI for protection will only grow. But balanced oversight is crucial. Overall, this paper provides a comprehensive overview of where AI has been, where it is now, and where it may head next in the high-stakes battle against cybercrime. Sustainable Development Goal 8 proposes the promotion of full and productive employment for all. Intelligent production factors, such as robots, the Internet of Things, and extensive data analysis, are reshaping the dynamics of labour supply and demand. In China, which is a developing country with a large population and labour force, analysing the impact of artificial intelligence technology on the labour market is of particular importance. Based on panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2006 to 2020, a two-way fixed-effect model and the two-stage least squares method are used to analyse the impact of AI on employment and to assess its heterogeneity. The introduction and installation of artificial intelligence technology as represented by industrial robots in Chinese enterprises has increased the number of jobs. The results of some mechanism studies show that the increase of labour productivity, the deepening of capital and the refinement of the division of labour that has been introduced into industrial enterprises through the introduction of robotics have successfully mitigated the damaging impact of the adoption of robot technology on employment. Rather than the traditional perceptions of robotics crowding out labour jobs, the overall impact on the labour market has exerted a promotional effect. The positive effect of artificial intelligence on employment exhibits an inevitable heterogeneity, and it serves to relatively improves the job share of women and workers in labour-intensive industries. Mechanism research has shown that virtual agglomeration, which evolved from traditional industrial agglomeration in the era of the digital economy, is an important channel for increasing employment. The findings of this study contribute to the understanding of the impact of modern digital technologies on the well-being of people in developing countries. To give full play to the positive role of artificial intelligence technology in employment, we should improve the social security system, accelerate the process of developing high-end domestic robots and deepen the reform of the education and training system.

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the workplace and society. As AI systems take on more complex cognitive tasks, skills like creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability will become increasingly important for human workers. Education systems need to evolve to prepare students for an AI-driven world. This paper argues that curriculum and teaching methods should shift to build competencies like problem-solving, collaboration, computational thinking, and lifelong learning. Rote memorization needs to be deemphasized in favor of active, interdisciplinary learning. Students need broad exposure to ethics, philosophy, and the social sciences to critically analyze how AI is reshaping society. Project-based and hands-on learning builds the resilience and complex problem-solving abilities needed to complement AI systems. The curriculum should incorporate discussions of AI's potential impacts on inequality, automation, and the future of work. Teachers need to transition from passive lecturing to guiding active learning experiences. Growth mindsets must be fostered so students are motivated to continuously reskill. Collaborative and team-based learning mirrors the interdisciplinary cooperation needed in AI development. Technology should be integrated thoughtfully based on learning objectives, not for technology's sake alone. Ongoing feedback via formative assessment replaces high-stakes exams. These proposals face barriers like standardized testing mandates, teacher training gaps, and resistance to pedagogical change. But education leaders must rise to the challenge. The interdisciplinary competencies needed in an AI era-creativity, communication, computational thinking, and lifelong learning- necessitate rethinking both what is taught and how. Curriculum and teaching strategies rooted in the 20th-century industrial model will not adequately cultivate the flexible, well-rounded skill sets humans need to complement AI systems and continue innovating. Policymakers and education leaders must collaborate to build the learning environments students need to think critically, work creatively, and thrive in an AI-driven world.

Prompt engineering is an emerging field focused on crafting effective prompts to elicit useful outputs from artificial intelligence systems. As AI grows more advanced, particularly natural language processing, demand has arisen for specialized prompt engineers who can optimize human-AI interactions. This paper assesses India's potential to become a leader in prompt engineering by developing talent and establishing educational programs. Prompt engineering combines computer science, linguistics, psychology and creativity. While present globally, demand for prompt engineering is estimated to grow over 20% annually as organizations recognize AI's capabilities when properly directed. India is primed to seize this opportunity given its large skilled engineering workforce. Over 3.1 million engineers graduate annually from Indian universities, providing a talent base to meet prompt engineering needs. India's technology sector is also conducive, being the world's second-largest start-up hub with a growing AI ecosystem. However, India must still overcome gaps in specialized AI education and limited advanced research compared to nations like the US and China. Recommended investments include establishing a dedicated educational curriculum, industry partnerships, and policy incentives to propel prompt engineering. Through pilot testing and cultivated talent, India can become a leader rather than a follower in prompt engineering. This will enable India to leverage AI's potential, drive innovation, and secure a competitive edge in technology. Realizing this requires a collaborative effort between academia, industry, and government to develop prompt engineering from the ground up. Given its engineering talent, technology sector growth, and push for advanced AI, India has a high potential to emerge as a global hub for prompt engineering expertise in the 21st century. This represents both a promising opportunity and an imperative as AI shapes the digital landscape.

This research paper, titled "Exploring the Potential of Prompt Engineering in India: A Study on the Future of AI-Driven Job Market and the Role of Higher Education" delves into the potential of India to become a global hub for prompt engineers. Prompt engineering, a novel field that combines natural language processing, machine learning, creativity, and linguistic expertise, involves designing effective prompts for large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT. These models then generate responses based on the given inputs, finding applications in various sectors such as customer support, content generation, finance, healthcare, and education. The research aims to assess India's potential in harnessing this emerging field. The objectives include understanding the global landscape of prompt engineering, its evolution, and the role of higher education in India in nurturing this profession. To tackle these objectives, a mixed-methods approach was adopted, combining both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Primary data was gathered through interviews with industry experts and surveys among students and faculty in Indian universities. Secondary research involved an extensive review of existing literature, market reports, and policy documents. Preliminary findings suggest that India, with its vast talent pool in engineering and IT, is well-positioned to embrace this profession. The current scenario of engineering education in India shows a readiness to adapt to evolving technical demands, as demonstrated by the initiatives of several Indian universities in implementing prompt engineering courses. The research also points to a promising future for prompt engineering, given the skyrocketing global demand, wide scope, and attractive salary packages. The profession offers substantial opportunities for freshers, provided they acquire the necessary technical and creative skills. However, challenges persist. While Indian universities are pivotal in cultivating prompt engineers, infrastructure, curriculum, faculty training, and industry-academia collaborations need significant enhancement. Moreover, the research highlights the need for public awareness about this profession and the inclusion of AI ethics in the curriculum. The emergence of neobank technology has revolutionized the finance industry, providing customers with digital-first banking experiences. However, with rapid innovation comes heightened cybersecurity risks. Neobanks possess troves of sensitive customer data, making them prime targets for cyberattacks. This research analyzes how integrating artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, and machine learning bolsters neobank defenses against current and future threats. An examination of industry reports reveals that cyberattacks on financial services firms have increased by 238% since 2018. AI systems leverage predictive analytics to identify anomalies and suspicious behaviors indicative of fraud. Machine learning algorithms also adapt to new attack patterns. When an unknown threat is detected, the model updates itself to recognize that threat going forward. However, overly relying on AI can lead to false positives or algorithmic bias issues. Blockchain's decentralized structure provides transparency and immutability of transactions, preventing tampering or manipulation of data. Distributed ledger technology also eliminates single points of failure. While not impervious, blockchain makes unauthorized access exponentially more difficult. The true power lies in combining these technologies. AI, machine learning, and blockchain work synergistically to establish multi-layered security, ensuring systems stay ahead of threats. This research highlights best practices for responsibly integrating these tools. Continual learning, sound data governance, and human oversight of technology remain imperative. The information technology revolution has had dramatic effects on jobs and the labor market. Many routine and manual tasks have been automated, replacing workers. By contrast, new technologies complement non-routine, cognitive, and social tasks, making work in such tasks more productive. These effects have polarized labor markets: While low-skill jobs have stagnated, there are fewer and lower paid jobs for middle-skill workers, and higher pay for high-skill workers, increasing wage inequality. Advances in artificial intelligence may be accelerating computers’ ability to perform cognitive tasks, heightening concerns about automation of even high-skill jobs.

A recent assertion that new neurons are continually added to the neocortex of adult macaque monkeys has profound implications for understanding the cellular mechanisms of higher cognitive functions. Here we searched for neurogenesis in adult macaques by using immunofluorescent triple labeling for the DNA-replication indicator, bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU), and neuronal and glial cell markers. Although numerous BrdU-labeled cells were distributed throughout the cerebral wall, including the neocortex, these were identified as nonneuronal cells; evidence for newly generated neurons was limited to the hippocampus and olfactory bulb. Thus, our results do not substantiate the claim of neurogenesis in normal adult primate neocortex.
