I support trans people for the same reason I believe in God, free will and expect an afterlife. Because scientific materialism is dubious. If we were only material then we would NOT be able to reason as ONLY random clumps of cells. I am starting a new neopagan religion named Anointed Skepticism: The religion is named Anointed Skepticism. My new religion is literally one that only believes in two gods metaphorically. One being Dionysus and the other Apollo. My disciples will be instructed to act Apollonian because nature is Dionysian. Further instructions are the Golden Rule(treat others how you want to be treated). ... [Show full abstract] Anointed Skepticism is derived from tradition, then risk analysis, and finally skin in the game. Of course I will call for politically correct ethics as well. The only moral roots will be harm avoidance and reciprocity. Thus emphasizing individualism due to the lack of ingroup loyalty, purity, and authority as values in of themselves. I started the religion so my authority is justified by both reciprocity and harm avoidance.
