This study investigates the dynamics of Circular Economy (CE) practices in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), emphasizing their critical role in promoting sustainability. As we investigate the many implications on SMEs' adoption of CE, we pay special attention to the diverse consequences of internal and external stakeholder pressure. Furthermore, we underline the importance of positive managerial perceptions and offer a new perspective by viewing CE orientation as a mediating force. Our data collection was conducted in three phases using a survey methodology, yielding 196 responses from Estonian SMEs. The findings call into question the notion that stakeholder pressures are consistent, revealing varied influences on CE procedures. Significantly, increased CE orientation emerges as a driving element in improving organisational response to external stakeholder pressure. This study advances our understanding of the intricate relationships between stakeholder dynamics, managerial perceptions, and CE practices, providing valuable insights essential for SMEs to navigate the path towards sustainable practices. This study presents both theoretical and practical contributions and suggests avenues for future research to further explore the multifaceted nature of the relationships uncovered in this study.

As a results a national energy policy model has been proposed for this South Asian country. 1. Introduction The work concerns the Republic of India-a country that, due to its population size, economic potential and international significance, is an interesting and important object of scientific research. The research field includes one of the key elements of India's external activity, which is its external energy policy and its model and the factors shaping it. The author's intention is to examine the interdependence between the state of India's energy security and the actions taken by the authorities of this country and entities of the energy sector in the international arena. In other words, the intention is to demonstrate that the state of India's energy security forces the authorities of this country and entities of the energy sector to take specific actions in the international arena. Collectively, these actions are referred to in the work as external energy policy. The author's main goal is to examine the model according to which this policy is conducted. The work broadly defines the concept of external energy policy, discusses the difference between it and the narrower concept of foreign energy policy. The reasons underlying the choice of this issue are also explained, indicating the entities whose activities are the subject of the analysis. The initial research problem is the assessment of the state of India's energy security. It was made despite full awareness of the complex and difficult to measure research matter. It was preceded by a presentation of the genesis of the concept of energy security, the evolution of its understanding and a discussion of key definitional problems. Selected indicators allowed for the assessment of the state of energy security in India, indicated key weaknesses of the energy system of this country and defined available directions of action to improve the situation. The assessment of the state of energy security was made taking into account both internal and external factors. In the category of internal factors, the study was conducted mainly using indicators classified in the subject reading as economic. Three approaches were taken into account, i.e. macroeconomic, microeconomic and technical. The macroeconomic approach was introduced to demonstrate the picture of demand and availability of individual energy sources. The situation in this area is the basis for actions taken by the government administration and individual economic entities in the energy sector in order to secure the supply of energy sources, both on the internal market and in the international space. In the microeconomic approach, much attention was paid to the analysis of the ownership structure of the Indian energy market in order to determine the share of state and private entities in the energy sector and the degree of penetration of the energy market by global economic entities. This analysis was also conducted in order to determine the level of internal and external competitiveness of the energy market and to identify factors distorting competitiveness, such as the functioning of monopolies and oligopolies. In the technical approach, special attention was paid to the efficiency and reliability of the energy system and the availability of energy to the end user. The study also included key aspects of energy security resulting from the actions of external factors towards India, i.e. those that are elements of its international environment.

So far, few studies have investigated relationships between natural disasters and local economic growth in Vietnam. Thus, the main purpose of this paper is to examine how sea level rise, storms and forest fire can damage agriculture, forestry, and houses. Secondary data were collected from both domestic and international sources. Using MATLAB 2021 we were able to quantitatively examine the impact of climate change on economic growth in Southern Vietnam. The results find that Southwest Vietnam experiences more serious houses and crop lands damage caused by sea level rise than the Southeast. This paper discusses sustainable development issues in the higher education sector from the value chain perspective. An adapted value chain is proposed for developing countries that would reflect the specific context of the higher education sector of Poland and Vietnam. Secondary data were collected from two universities in Poland and Vietnam to do a comparative analysis of how sustainability is integrated into the educational value chain. Our analysis shows that the two cases of Poland and Vietnam are quite different in most of the supporting and primary activities when integrating sustainability issues in the educational value chain, except for training. Then recommendations of value co-creation activities in the value chain for higher education institutions in both countries are raised towards achieving sustainable development.

Despite the fact that Asian economies have experienced robust economic growth in recent decades, rising pollution emissions have raised worries among policymakers about the long-term stability of this output growth. Knowing this fact, the present study attempts to empirically analyze the impact of some important factors, e.g., energy efficiency, technology innovations, trade openness, and institutional quality, on environment in 10 Asian economies over the period 1995-2018. Taking into account the slope heterogeneity and cross-sectional dependence present in the data, Westerlund and Edgerton (2008) and Banerjee and Carrion-i-Silvestre (2017) cointegration techniques and cross-sectionally augmented autoregressive distributed lag model (CS-ARDL) estimation are applied. For robust analysis, augmented mean group (AMG) and common correlated effects mean group (CCEMG) are also employed in the study. The empirical findings provided by selected variables reveal that both trade openness and institutional quality have detrimental impact, whereas energy efficiency and technology innovations have favorable impact on environmental quality in the selected economies. Empirical findings are robust to various policy recommendations. To create a sustainable future environment, Asian economies should focus on the improvement of their institutions quality and increase investments in technology innovations. The Asian countries must encourage trade-related environmental regulations and energy efficiency policies for better and sustainable environmental quality.

Environmental protection has become a significant issue around the globe. The extensive use of renewable energy and green finance is considered as the solution to this dramatic issue, especially in the Covid-19 lockdown. To answer this demand, the present study examines the impact of green financial development such as green credit, green investment, and green securities along with corporate social responsibility (CSR) in reporting renewable energy investment based on evidence from an emerging economy. Economic growth was used as the control variable of the study. The data was gathered from the central bank and World Development Indicators (WDI) from 1976 to 2020. The error correction model (ECM) was used to test the nexus among the variables. The findings revealed that green credit, green investment , and green securities along with CSR reporting and economic growth have a significant positive nexus with renewable energy investment in the selected emerging economy. These outcomes are helpful for new arrivals to investigate this area in the future along with regulators who want to formulate policies related to green finance and renewable energy usage and investment in the context of emerging and developing countries. The association between economic growth (EG) and environmental degradation (ED) has been highlighted extensively in prior studies. However, investigation regarding 'technological innovation and clean energy role' in dealing with environmental concerns has comprised limited context while considering the ASEAN economies under sustainable development goals. Therefore, the study attempts to investigate the phenomenon by using CS-ARDL analysis under short as well as long run. The findings through CS-ARDL in long-and short-run indicate that REN have impact carbon emission and ecological footprints negatively. Additionally, the EG in targeted economies is causing a higher level of CE and ecological footprints. Whereas, GDP2ofund to be significant in lowering the ED in the form of CE and ecological footprints. It is suggested that policies related to CE through EG should be developed in order to control the environmental issues in the future. ARTICLE HISTORY

In Vietnam, auditor independence is guided by the Code of Professional Ethics for Accounting and Auditing issued in accordance with Circular No. 70/2015/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance. Independence is the first and most important principle for the professional ethics of auditors. Independence is also an essential component of quality assurance of the auditing service. At present, there are many studies on auditor independence in general and on the relationship between non-audit services and auditor independence over different time and space. The auditing industry in Vietnam is still in a burgeoning state, and its economic and sociocultural context as well as the institutional settings are very specific compared to those of other countries in the world. The article investigates the issue of how local auditing companies could improve their independence and as a result their quality of auditing services based on experiences of the Big4 group already present and operating in Vietnam market.

This article focuses on the trends of new technologies, especially the data analytics, with their impact on value creation for firms operating in the audit industry. Research shows that auditing firms in the Big4 are often impacted the most. Moreover, they are game changers, always being ahead of changes that take place before becoming normal, obligatory standards. Small and medium-sized audit firms (SMAFs), due to resource and capacity constraints, are often the ones to follow and are forced to change as these trends become apparent and codified by law and policy makers. Then, all business entities in the industry must follow and comply with the implementation. Based on the analysis of the impact of data analytics on large audit firms, especially in Big4, the article provides some implications and recommendations for SMAFs on how to survive and maintain own development in the highly competitive market.

Sciences, both social and natural, require researchers’ continuous efforts to investigate and identify conceptual, theoretical, and methodical gaps to fill. That risks making the research findings just pieces of a complete picture and reduces its applicability in practice due to the variability between studies and experiments. The effort to find and use the most suitable research instrument in each of research project is hopeless. This paper introduces a new model or approach to investigate innovation capacity in public organisations. Instead of developing a new research instrument, authors establish a comprehensive one evolved from many others already pre-existed and developed. The application of this approach is illustrated via building innovation capacity assessment instruments for a variety of public organisations. The research in paper will contribute to the theoretical development and to the continuation of the research stream conducted by previous studies published in the International Journal of Public Sector Performance Management.

A trade-based gravity model can simultaneously examine the impact of group factors, such as those affecting supply, influencing demand and hindering bilateral trade between countries. The gravity model has been implemented in various studies. We adopt this model to study factors affecting the export of Vietnamese commodities to the EU. Data in this study was collected from Vietnam and 28 EU countries during the 2009-2019 period. We used GMM model panel data in this analysis to address the correlative and endogenous issues. We came up with the following findings: the GDP of Vietnam and of EU countries, the exchange rate of VND/EUR, the manufacturing land of Vietnam all have significant impact and can facilitate Vietnamese commodities’ export to the EU. Meanwhile, the economic differences and trade openness are obstacles to Vietnamese commodities’ export to the EU.

Panel data examines the effects of renewable and natural resource usage on Green economic recovery in the top 10 nations adopting non-renewable energy from 1975 to 2018. Misunderstandings of sustainable energy legislation are often a result of structural breakout that go unnoticed. Fourier-based approaches are used to examine the nexus of non-renewable energy and natural resources on green economic recovery in selected countries. Economic recovery in eight of the ten nations depends on natural resource development, whereas sustainable energy contributes to economic recovery in Germany, Denmark, and France over the long term. Italy, Malta, the UK, and Greece are examples of countries where the energy-led growth theory holds. Even though Italy's economy relies on non-renewable energy, the preservation theory holds for both power parameters in Germany and sustainable power in China. While non-renewable energy is not as powerful as exhaustible power, the total findings demonstrate that natural resource development has the potential to be a significant driver of green economic recovery. Policies to combat energy ineffectiveness should thus check an overworked world-ecology, reduce urban oddities, and encourage ecological learning for a better atmosphere.
