This study investigates the dynamics of Circular Economy (CE) practices in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), emphasizing their critical role in promoting sustainability. As we investigate the many implications on SMEs' adoption of CE, we pay special attention to the diverse consequences of internal and external stakeholder pressure. Furthermore, we underline the importance of positive managerial perceptions and offer a new perspective by viewing CE orientation as a mediating force. Our data collection was conducted in three phases using a survey methodology, yielding 196 responses from Estonian SMEs. The findings call into question the notion that stakeholder pressures are consistent, revealing varied influences on CE procedures. Significantly, increased CE orientation emerges as a driving element in improving organisational response to external stakeholder pressure. This study advances our understanding of the intricate relationships between stakeholder dynamics, managerial perceptions, and CE practices, providing valuable insights essential for SMEs to navigate the path towards sustainable practices. This study presents both theoretical and practical contributions and suggests avenues for future research to further explore the multifaceted nature of the relationships uncovered in this study.

Family businesses are entities playing crucial and integrating roles both in the economy and in society. The research subject of this article is the transfer of knowledge and experience as unique intangible resources during the intergenerational succession process in small family businesses and the unquestionable and critical role of mentors, usually but not always necessarily predecessors, and their mentoring activities in maintaining family business tradition and in ensuring reaching strategic business and family goals and success in all stages of the power change within. Global common challenges badly affecting agricultural sustainability embrace, amongst others, countering global climate change, natural resources depletion, living habitat degradation and environmental pollution (Dana, 1994b, 1994a). Sustainable agriculture is essential to feed the world population that exceeds eight billion people. Farmers' social entrepreneurship is a precondition to keep the agribusiness sustainable to counter global common challenges and to follow the trend of circular economy. To investigate the development of social entrepreneurship and its impact on agriculture sustainable development in the Mekong delta, the agricultural region in the Southwest Vietnam, the author has gathered secondary information from trustworthy sources of data base, both traditional and websites of government and public institutions. The findings of this study serve as a basis to put forward solutions for sustaining agribusinesses and their social entrepreneurship. From that, we propose multilevel solutions for policy makers and agribusinesses in this part of Vietnam.

Tourism is a smokeless industry that plays an increasingly important role in the structure of each country's GDP. Each country or locality needs to own and effectively exploit its inherent tourism resources to serve as a solid foundation for tourism development. Cultural tourism is one of the most important types of tourism services in Vietnam. The article has carried out a full-scale revision on the theoretical framework for cultural tourism resources studies. Based on an empirical study with five groups of research subjects: scientists, representatives of local authorities, tourism businesses, indigenous peoples, and tourists, the article also has reexamined local cultural tourism resource policy and proposed development solutions to effectively exploit local cultural resources for local SMEs in the cultural tourism industry.

The audit committee (AC) is a part of the organisational structure of a joint-stock company, directed at inspecting and monitoring its activities in order to enhance the truthfulness and fairness of financial statement information. The AC has just been legislated in Vietnam since 2021. Joint stock companies can choose a new structure with the AC or a traditional structure including a supervisory board. In this research we will find out whether the AC increases the quality of financial statement information. Secondary data including 255 observations from listed public companies with an established AC were collected. We carried out analysis and forecast using the binary logistic model. The results show that the AC has significantly improved the quality of financial statement information.

This article focuses on the trends of new technologies, especially the data analytics, with their impact on value creation for firms operating in the audit industry. Research shows that auditing firms in the Big4 are often impacted the most. Moreover, they are game changers, always being ahead of changes that take place before becoming normal, obligatory standards. Small and medium-sized audit firms (SMAFs), due to resource and capacity constraints, are often the ones to follow and are forced to change as these trends become apparent and codified by law and policy makers. Then, all business entities in the industry must follow and comply with the implementation. Based on the analysis of the impact of data analytics on large audit firms, especially in Big4, the article provides some implications and recommendations for SMAFs on how to survive and maintain own development in the highly competitive market.

Throughout this study, we investigate the impact of internal (staff and processes) and external drivers (market and customer service orientation) on the global business performance of the small enterprises. The paper uses a descriptive statistical method to build a scale to conduct preliminary qualitative and in-depth quantitative research to provide empirical results and practical solutions to current issues of global business performance in small enterprises in Vietnam. The study’s results also show that beside the above mentioned drivers, other variables also need to be considered in terms of directly and indirectly impact on the organisation’s business performance globally.
