Funding: Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI)
Project news
✓A detailed methodology was developed in
the frame of research project INFRARES
for the assessment of bridges subjected to
seismic hazard and flood hazard, which
includes:
✓The proposal of fragility functions for
the assessment of bridges against
seismic hazard
✓The proposal of fragility functions for
the assessment of bridges against
flood hazard
✓The proposal of fragility functions for
the assessment of bridges against
seismic and flood hazards
✓In the latter case, the proposed fragility
functions account for the cumulative
effects of hazards)
Is it possible to assess the vulnerability of bridges against natural hazards?
5ΠΣΑΜΤΣ: The team members
of INFRARES project attended
the 5th Panhellenic Conference
on Earthquake Engineering and
Technical Seismology, held in
Athens, Greece, between
20.10.22 and 22.10.22, with two
presentations:
•“Developments in seismic
vulnerability assessment of
underground structures and
tunnels” by Dr. Tsinidis (Link)
(in Greek)
•“Hazard, vulnerability and risk
assessment of road networks
against multiple natural
hazards” by Dr. Karatzetzou
(Link) (in Greek)
