Abstract

Аbstract: Myopia or nearsightedness is a refractory anomaly where parallel light rays entering the eye after breaking through the cornea and lens congregate with a focus that is in front of the retina in the vitreous body rather than falling to the retina at a clear-sighted center where the light rays are diverging and making a sculpted image of the object that the eye is currently observing. Myopia is a refractory error with multifactorial aetiology, occurs in 50% of the population in the intestinal countries and this percentage is expected to increase in the future, complications associated with axial elongation from myopia are the sixth leading cause of blindness. Knowing its mechanism, etiology, epidemiology and the results of various therapeutic methods can modify current care and result in decreasing morbidity from progressive myopia. The exact etiology of myopia is still unclear is considered to have a genetic and environmental or social component that makes prevention and treatment challenging and individual. Axial lengthening of the eye can not be explained only by genetics. Current animal and human studies show that the development of myopia is the result of interactions between genetic and environmental factors. The occurrence of myopia is higher in persons whose two parents are myopic, which suggests that genetic factors are clearly involved in the development of myopia. At the same time, research in the population shows that the development of myopia is associated with education and the time they spend watching the proximity at work. Hence, increased proximity activities cause optical blurring and fatigue. Efforts to slow the progression of myopia are enormous due to its relationship to the development of serious pathological conditions such as macular degeneration, retinal detachment, glaucoma and cataracts. Considering the pathological complications of myopia and other serious pathological conditions associated with the disease, myopia not only negatively affects self-perception, the work or the choice of a working profession in proportion to the ocular health condition, it is also one of the leading causes of blindness in the world. It is estimated that by the year 2050 a sail of the light population will have a refractory anomaly-myopia. Keywords: myopia, axial elongation, refractory anomaly

PREVALENCE OF MYOPIA IN PRESCHOOL CHILDREN IN RADOVISH

Аbstract: Myopia or nearsightedness is a refractory anomaly where parallel light rays entering the eye after
breaking through the cornea and lens congregate with a focus that is in front of the retina in the vitreous body rather
than falling to the retina at a clear-sighted center where the light rays are diverging and making a sculpted image of
the object that the eye is currently observing.
Myopia is a refractory error with multifactorial aetiology, occurs in 50% of the population in the intestinal countries
and this percentage is expected to increase in the future, complications associated with axial elongation from myopia
are the sixth leading cause of blindness. Knowing its mechanism, etiology, epidemiology and the results of various
therapeutic methods can modify current care and result in decreasing morbidity from progressive myopia. The exact
etiology of myopia is still unclear is considered to have a genetic and environmental or social component that makes
prevention and treatment challenging and individual.
Axial lengthening of the eye can not be explained only by genetics. Current animal and human studies show that the
development of myopia is the result of interactions between genetic and environmental factors. The occurrence of
myopia is higher in persons whose two parents are myopic, which suggests that genetic factors are clearly involved
in the development of myopia. At the same time, research in the population shows that the development of myopia is
associated with education and the time they spend watching the proximity at work. Hence, increased proximity
activities cause optical blurring and fatigue.
Efforts to slow the progression of myopia are enormous due to its relationship to the development of serious
pathological conditions such as macular degeneration, retinal detachment, glaucoma and cataracts. Considering the
pathological complications of myopia and other serious pathological conditions associated with the disease, myopia
not only negatively affects self-perception, the work or the choice of a working profession in proportion to the
ocular health condition, it is also one of the leading causes of blindness in the world. It is estimated that by the year
2050 a sail of the light population will have a refractory anomaly-myopia.
