スポーツ現象を表象する言語の適応に関する研究―新聞にみられる“隠喩”としてのスポーツシンボルへの事例的試み―

Abstract

社会的事実としてのスポーツは，諸個人の主体的意識作用を含む行為であると同時に，「ホモ・シンボリカス」としての本性を持つ人間のシンボルに媒介された社会的相互作用によって構成されている。この点を踏まえれば，社会学的なスポーツ研究は，スポーツを構成するところの現存在である人間が間主観的で意味的なコミュニケーションを通して絶えずスポーツを現実としている過程を問題にしなければならない。そこで本研究では複雑でありながらも社会的に秩序のあるスポーツ現象を可能にしているスポーツの共有的意味世界を明らかにするために，スポーツ現象を表象する言語を隠喩として見立てる日常的言語使用に着目し，その分析を通して「一般的な他者の態度」として現れるスポーツ観を明らかにし，その成立ちや変化・修正への分析の視点を追求することとした。その結果，以下の3点を析出することができた。1．スポーツを認識し，意識する場合の視点は，スポーツ場面におけるプレーヤーの姿勢・態度・心情といったものにあること。2．スポーツの基本的枠組み，理念を「1対1の競争」に置いていること。3．スポーツにおける集団に，縦型につながる全体主義的な人間関係を価値化していること。また，これらが関係性の次元に生起し，スポーツの意味関連における「視点の流動」がその源泉になっていることを指摘できた。同時に，社会的相互作用において，能動的・主体的にスポーツ世界を構成していくという，人間のスポーツ行為こそが，今後の研究の焦点であることを強調するところとなった。 This study tries to clear up the meaning of sport which is socially,held in common by analyzing symbolic languages used in sport as “metaphor”on newspaper.Sport exsists in symbolic interaction.This means sport is the following;which is socially held in common and which makes this symbolic interaction possible.The meaning of sport is expressed in language rhetorically as the attitude to play sport.As the result of the analysis of sports symbol as “metaphor”on newspaper,we found the following points;1.When we recognize sport consciously,our viewpoint lies on the attitude and feelings of the players who are playing sport practically.2.We regard sport as the individual(personal)competition between two persons.3.We recognize that our human relationship in sport is totalitarianism.This study leaves much to be further discussed,but we emphasize that it is important to continue to study sport as symbolic interaction.
