This project reimagions and modernises hospice
wellbeing content and online delivery at Michael
Sobell House and Harlington Hospice. A new ‘Wellbeing
Hub’ is being developed and will host new content to
better engage with the local community. By integrating
hospice wellbeing content alongside more generalised
wellbeing content it is hoped that a symbiotic bridge
between the two areas will be created. It is also hoped
that by providing the general public with engaging
hospice wellbeing content prior to the need for
receiving care, the transition to hospice care will be
easier and less daunting in the future.
A ‘Digital First’ Approach to Wellbeing Education and End of Life Planning
Technology has an important role to play in many people’s care
planning journey. MyWishes (UK) goal is to democratise death
and dying behaviours through the use of technology, education
and support. A ‘digital first’ approach is sometimes preferred
and required by different demographics. Sometimes a merged
(online and face to face) approach is preferred, other times face
to face is the only available or suitable approach.

Providing wellbeing services and content in digital
formats is important. Early feedback from service
users has been very positive. Blended online /
offline delivery models requires more research.

of day when I have the
most energy.”
“I haven’t completed
the whole session
yet. I do one section

that works for me,
thank you.”
