In Hindustan Times (2021), article “ ‘Main Reason for Spike in COVID19 Cases’ Helath Minister Harsh Vardhan as India’s sees highest daily spike of 2021” brought to light that COVID19 cases are increasing very rapidly in India. Presently the total number of cases is more than two lakhs. Worldwide India is the third most affected country from COVID19 pandemic in 2021 after USA and Brazil. In India, states like Maharashtra, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu only contribute more than 78% new cases from overall cases. The main reason for this as informed by Dr. Harsh Vardhan (Union Health Minister) was that people are not following social distancing and corona guidelines seriously as much as it is needed

Chronology of Corona Virus SARS-CoV-2 During First Wave in India

The recent COVID-19 pandemic outbreak had a great impact Worldwide. In order to check the spread the highly contagious disease first Lock down covering almost all states was imposed in the month of March 24 2020. Since then, the cases continue to increase day by day resulted to put India on third position after US and Brazil among worst affected nations across the world very soon. Recovery rate was very high in India i.e., 96.55% while death rate 3.45%. In this review we have summarized COVID-19 size and diversity in different states especially highly affected in India. We find that Maharashtra is most affected state with 375799 cases while Tamil Nadu with 213723 cases is on second and Delhi is on third position with 130606 covid-19 cases till 27/07/2020 and number of deceased in Maharashtra 13656 Tamil Nadu 3494 and Delhi-3827 respectively. While till 22 April 2020 Maharashtra remain on first position with highest no 5229 cases, Gujarat with 2407 cases was on second and Delhi 2248 remain on third position and Tamil Nadu with 1596 cases was on fifth position indicating the graph of cases in Tamil Nadu has grown very fast during April to July 2020. Since January 2020 up to 18 March 2022 43,004,005 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been confirmed while 516,281 deaths have been reported in India only.

Krantiguru Shyamji Krishna Verma Kachchh University started the academic planning during the lockdown period and most of the colleges started to go digital for the betterment of all its stakeholders. The present study focuses on the impact of COVID-19 on the academic planning of the colleges running under KSKV Kachchh University and the level of awareness of the teachers about ICT tools for teaching-learning. The study is based on primary data using survey through structured questionnaire in which 43 respondents filled this survey presently working as teaching staff. Major findings of the study were that most of the teachers spent daily 4 to 6 hours on academic planning, conducted more than fifteen lectures in a week and planning for new courses for students. Most of the teachers have knowledge of ICT tools for teaching-learning, also received prior training for online class and Microsoft Teams was most popular software for delivering online class.

Covid-19 obliged the authorities of all countries to adopt a series of measures aimed at limiting the spread of the virus (e.g. social distancing and restrictions on internal and international movement), some of which prevent Muslims from performing, or only partially perform, some of their acts of worship, in particular those which, by requiring and/or prescribing the formation of an assembly, ... [Show full abstract] physical proximity or direct contact between those performing them (collective prayers, pilgrimage, religious festivals, funeral rites), are more conducive to the spread of the virus. This situation is at the root of the many questions that some European Muslims have asked jurists to provide them with guidance, based on Islamic law, on how to reconcile the anti-Covid rules with the obligation to perform acts of worship. This article analyses the fatāwā issued by the European Council for Fatwas and Research in response to these questions. In particular, this article has three aims: 1. to identify and describe the solutions adopted by the Maǧlis to adapt religious practice to the restrictions imposed by the Covid; 2. to verify whether the solutions adopted by the ECFR to combat the pandemic are compatible with the provisions adopted by European governments in this regard; 3. to verify whether and in what terms the Islamic jurisprudence produced at the national level (the Italian one) transposes the transnational jurisprudence of the ECFR. The focus will be on fatāwā concerning collective prayers and funeral rites.
