quantitative indicators of the most important factors affecting the demand for banking
service in the city of Erbil is important, given that it is considered one of the main
pillars that help banks improve their performance, gain their customers and improve
their profitability through improving their services. The research aimed to determine the
determining factors for the demand for banking service in the city of Erbil, and to

and governmental banks in the city of Erbil. The research reached to prove the research
hypothesis that economic variables, approved banking procedures, banking facilities
provided, as well as other factors are determinants of the demand for banking service in
the city of Erbil. In each of these axes, the factor analysis produced strong-influencing
factors and weak-influencing factors that were excluded, and that among the strong-
influencing factors, the most influential factors were revealed based on the loading rate,
and the prevalence rate for each of the strong-influencing factors.
