Most citizens are fluent in the use of digital devices
and services, but there is a minority who are excluded
due to lack of devices and skills and to negative attitudes.
Therefore, economically and socially disadvantaged
people need support to reverse the process of digital
exclusion. Digital support is intended to promote
the skills that people need to use digital services and
devices independently and safely. This study examined
what good digital support consists of for socially
marginalised people. Twenty-one participants working
in frontline projects and representing non-governmental
organisations, public government and services, were
interviewed.
