Abstract

Despite the advantages that mobile banking has for both banksand customers, its security level is one of the barriers that have a negativeinfluence on its large-scale adoption. In our previous research we identified a certain number of security attacks againstmobile banking security. Along with them, we found out that not all of the protectionstrategies and best practices are effective enough. Therefore we proposed a conceptual model for increased mobile banking security, which consists of five modules. In this report we aimed at researching the effectiveness of each of the proposedmodules. In order to achieve our objective we conducted five different experiments, each covering a module. The results confirmed the effectiveness and applicability of each of the five modulesthat are part of the proposed conceptual model for increased mobile banking security.ACM Computing Classification System (1998): K.4.4.

... Although mobile technologies are gaining popularity, as some authors have pointed out, there are some major problem with them in terms of providing seamless access, namely: mobile device, mobile web browser, mobile operating system (Penchev, 2016). On this basis, the mobile accessibility remains out of the scope of the study. ...

The development of user-oriented technologies is related not only to compliance with standards, rules and good practices for their usability but also to their accessibility. For people with special needs, assistive technologies have been developed to ensure the use of modern information and communication technologies. The choice of a particular tool depends mostly on the user's operating system. The aim of this research paper is to study the current state of the accessibility software tools designed for an operating system Linux and especially used by visually impaired people. The specific context of the considering of the study's objective is the possibility of using such technologies by Bulgarian users. The applied approach of the research is content analysis of scientific publications, official documentation of Linux accessibility tools, and legal provisions and classifiers of international organizations. The results of the study are useful to other researchers who work in the area of accessibility of software technologies, including software companies that develop solutions for visually impaired people. For the purpose of the article several tests are performed with the studied tools, on the basis of which the conclusions of the study are made. On the base of the comparative study of assistive software tools the main conclusion of the paper is made: Bulgarian visually impaired users are limited to work with Linux operating system because of the lack of the Bulgarian language support.

With the very dynamic development of digital banking and trust services, security system designers have a huge number of new users as well as new problem areas to address. The article tries to draw attention to the most burning elements of modern digital banking security systems, taking into account not only technical areas, but also the level of awareness and habits of their users. The approach described in the article indicates connections between various elements of security systems, which go beyond the infrastructure of a single bank. In the content of the article the authors analyze the dangers associated with the use of digital and mobile banking systems by people with different levels of IT-related threats awareness based on their qualitative research (one hour in-depth interviews) on a group of 60 clients of banking services in Poland. The article tackles some issues associated with the compliance of banks with the PSD2 directive and exemplary ways of implementing the SCA recommendations (including a special emphasis on the risks of using SMS codes), the use of biometrics in user authorization, popularity and automation of phishing attacks, as well as forceful coercion. Several issues associated with electronic and mobile banking security are elaborated based on their current status in Poland.

Advances in telecommunication technologies have enables organizations such as banks and other financial institutions to offer more online services to their customers. Internet banking is one of such services that many banks have been venturing into with large investment. However, studies show that the adoption and usage by customers in some countries are very low. This paper presents the result of a study at Iranian National Bank, to investigate the determinants of behavioral intention of the bank's customers towards using internet banking. Survey data have been gathered from 237 respondents and the multiple regression and subgroup correlation analyses have been conducted. The result shows that perceived ease of use, social influence, perceived usefulness and attitude toward using have direct and positive effects on people behavioral intention. On the other hand trust has only moderate role on relationship between social influence and intention toward using.
